From Pikachu to Charmander to Tiffany & Co.

Tiffany & Co. along with artist Daniel Arsham have teamed up with Pokémon for a new capsule collection.

Tiffany & Co. is set to unveil a new Pokémon collection as part of its latest collaboration.

The LVMH-owned brand has once again collaborated with contemporary artist Daniel Arsham. But Arsham has worked with the jewellery house before. He redesigned the iconic Tiffany Blue box and transformed a padlock from its archive into bronze sculptures.

The collection consists of nine jewellery designs. It includes pendants and necklaces that highlight six Pokémon: Pikachu, Charmander, Squirtle, Jigglypuff, Cubone and Mew.

The necklaces are made in oxidized sterling silver designs with diamond accents. As a reminder of Pikachu's electric yellow color, the character is also available in 18-karat yellow gold with diamond accents as a small and large pendant.

The oxidized sterling silver designs are packaged in a Tiffany & Arsham Studio & Pokémon Blue Box. Also the gold Pikachu pendants are in a special Tiffany Blue Poké Ball.

The Japanese media series began as a video game. But it later expanded into manga series, card game, anime series and movies. It includes the popular augmented virtual reality mobile game “Pokémon Go”.

In the Pokémon world, one of the goals of a Pokémon Trainer is to acquire all available Pokémon. So to complete his Pokédex, which is like an electronic handheld encyclopedia. Hence his catchphrase: “Gotta Catch ‘Em All!”

Similarly, fans in real life collect memorabilia. So they turn Pokémon into one of the most profitable and successful media and video game series.

But its popularity among collectors inspired the partners to include a special necklace featuring the six Pokémon displayed in oxidized sterling silver with diamond accents.

This oxidised sterling silver necklace with diamond accents features all six Pokémon included in the capsule collection.

The jewellery in the collection is designed with Arsham's “Future Relics” aesthetic. Where he also “represents everyday objects as archaeological discoveries from an imaginary future”.

They are inspired by “A Ripple in Time” Arsham's exhibition in Japan. The exhibition featured a variety of Pokémon artwork designed to evoke the passage of time.

The collection “reinforces the house's long-standing association with contemporary art and iconic pop culture,” Tiffany said.

Arsham also stated. “With my latest project with Tiffany, we reimagined Pokémon - a nod to my 2022 Tokyo project A Ripple in Time - to orchestrate a new narrative.“.

“With Pokémon and Tiffany herself, there's a sense of cultural stability for everyone.”.

The pieces retail from $1,290 to $29,000, according to a WWD report. But the window for this collection online is short.

It will be available for online purchase in North America and Japan from November 29 at 9 a.m. EST to November 30 at 9 p.m. EST. But during that time, interested buyers can sign up for a chance to purchase the jewelry.

From 1 December, those who register will be informed of the result of their registration and whether their order has been confirmed. Confirmed orders will be ready for dispatch on 9 December.

The capsule collection will be available this December at Tiffany & Co. Landmark stores in New York City. Also at the Omotesando store in Tokyo and at Tiffany.com for online shoppers located in North America and Japan.
