Lorige BL-Evolution.

A watch made from the racing brakes of Le Mans.

With a patented innovation model, Lorige announces its partnership with the Le Mans champion. Creating 50 collectible watches made from the original carbon parts of the winning racing cars

In the world of high-end watchmaking, storytelling and scarcity of materials are the core of commercial success. However, the Swiss company Lorige is taking the next business step by directly linking motor sports with the consumer’s desire. As the new Official Timekeeper of the endurance racing team Inter Europol Competition, Lorige presents the BL-Evolution “Competition”. A limited edition of 50 pieces that redefines the concept of “collectible”.

The business advantage of the new model lies in its raw material. The case and bezel of the watch are not simply “carbonized,” but are made from real Carbon/Carbon brakes. These were used in the Inter Europol Competition’s LMP2 racing cars (No. 43 and No. 343).

These are the same cars that led the team to a historic one-two finish (first and second place) in the LMP2 class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2026. Thus, they added to the team’s impressive winning streak that includes championships at Le Mans (2023, 2025) and the title of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship (2024).

The innovation behind the construction

Founded in 2018 by the automotive industry experts Clément Etienvre, Emeric Paraud and Philippe Dumas. Lorige operates with the flexibility of a deep-tech startup. It dedicated three years to Research and Development (R&D) to create and patent a process that transforms used carbon brakes into watch cases.

High mechanical strength and durability

In terms of technical features as well as design, the watch is a testament to modern micro-engineering. As it is in harmony with the DNA of Inter Europol Competition:

Construction: Case dimensions 50 × 42 mm made of racing carbon/carbon. Combined with satin and polished Grade 5 titanium on the bezel and the back.

Design: Yellow and green details, in the colors of the team, along with a dynamic titanium crown and grey Neoralite inserts.

Lanyard: Hybrid construction of rubber and technical fabric. Inspired by racing harnesses, with Quick&Release system and titanium folding buckle with 6 mm micro-adjustment.

A mechanism designed for «Endurance»

Beneath the sapphire crystal, the dial reveals the skeletonized architecture of the new in-house LOR-DB03 movement. Following the philosophy of endurance racing, the curved hand-wound mechanism features a double-barrel configuration that offers an impressive 168-hour power reserve (7 days).

Despite its complexity (175 components, 29 rubies, operation at 3 Hz), the thickness of the mechanism is limited to 3.98 millimeters. The second-hand display is dominated by a sunray finish – a reminder that in endurance races, a second is enough to decide the winner. The hands as well as the indicators are equipped with Super-LumiNova (Grey and White GL), ensuring excellent readability even in the nighttime conditions of a 24-hour race.
