Butterfly Ring.

Fly away with designer Katey Brunini's butterfly ring, as its springy wings flutter over your fingers.

It's not every day that a butterfly lands on someone's hands, but K. Brunini Jewels' unique ring allows the wearer to recreate that rare moment.

The name of the ring is «パッションフルーツ», which means «flower of passion» in Japanese.

When you touch the pink tourmaline wings of this butterfly ring, they begin to flutter. Mimicking a real butterfly moving over the wearer's fingers.

Designer Katey Brunini managed to include an «en tremblant», or «shivering», feature in her piece. By tightening a spring on the wings, giving them movement.

Brunini, is known for «creating fine jewellery that embodies the power and grace of nature». According to the brand, it sourced the materials for this piece while caving in Germany and Australia.

He used 124.29 carats of carved pink tourmaline for the wings, an abstract 13.72 carat Jundah opal for the body. Also a 1.07 carat peach sapphire for the head and 0.04 carats of fancy yellow diamonds for the antennae tips. But also sterling silver and 18-carat pink and yellow gold.

This editor tried on the butterfly ring from K. Brunini Jewels« new »Bow" collection at a preview event held earlier this month in New York City.

The ring is part of Brunini's new «Bow» collection and appears on the cover of her new book of the same name.

Although this piece is not available for sale, more than 20 pieces from the «Bow» collection are available on the K. Brunini Jewels website.
