At Inhorgenta Munich, they present jewellery, watches, watch straps as well as gemstones, pearls, cases, silverware, pearls etc. Also machinery for silversmithing, jewellery equipment, software programs. As well as marketing strategies in the jewellery industry.
The event will be accompanied by a programme of speeches on the issues and needs of the sector. While the third Inhorgenta Munich Award was very well received by a particularly high-level jury.
Among the winners is the Greek company THEODORA D., as «Designer of the Year» with the “Flamenco” ring.
The winners of the INHORGENTA AWARD 2023
They awarded outstanding watches, jewellery, gemstones, designs and a retail concept at a glittering gala evening with the who's who of the industry.
But the highlight of INHORGENTA MUNICH, was a glittering celebration of outstanding creations and their creators from the international jewellery, watch and gemstone industry. The INHORGENTA AWARD ceremony.
Renowned judges awarded the coveted trophy to the winners of ten categories. Traditionally, the gala evening is the glamorous highlight of INHORGENTA MUNICH.
“The INHORGENTA AWARD is our way of providing a big stage for outstanding creations from the jewellery, watch and gemstone industry. That is, from a jewellery piece, a young newcomer or a special watch. Or even from an established brand to a new retail concept,” explains Stefan Rummel, Managing Director of Messe München.
“We are therefore particularly pleased with the strong international participation: 80 out of 137 submissions came from 37 foreign countries.”.
The winners of the awards
The timeless jewelry, elegant and timeless value. These were the characteristics of the category “Fine Jewelry”, with jewellery starting at a retail price of 2,000 euros. The winner of the award is BINDER Jewellery with the “Perception Collection”.
In the new category “High Jewelry of the Year” presented jewellery of a special category with a retail price of 30,000 euros and above. The winner of the award is Pavit Gujral with his “Crab Earrings”.
In contrast, the category “Fashion Jewelry” addressed jewellery as an accessory for current fashion trends with a retail price of up to 2,000 euros. The winner of the award is BOLTENSTERN with the “FABNORA Mix and Match” earrings.
H “Designer of the Year” also achieved outstanding work in design, innovation and craftsmanship. The winner of the award is Theodora D. with the “Flamenco” ring.
Young talents competed as “Design Newcomer” with self-made jewellery or watches. The winner of the prize is Margret Hipp from the Pforzheim School of Jewellery with her “PISCIS” earrings.
But the accusation “Watch Design” required an innovative concept and independent design with a high recognition value. The winner of the award is Uhrenfabrik Junghans with the “Junghans 1972 Competition”.
This year, for the first time, the category “Gemstone Design of the Year” honored specially colored gemstones, diamonds and gemstone objects. The winner of the award is Gerhard Hahn with his “bi-color Saphir”.
Still in the category “Best Jeweler of the Year” honored a trend-setting retail concept. The winner of the award is Sebastian Frost with his store in the small fishing village of Listed on the east coast of Bornholm in Denmark.
The white, purpose-built building on the harbour is the setting for the production of his exclusive, handmade jewellery since 1999. Today it is expanded as a “Smykke Concept Store” with a café and bar.
This year, the candidates in the two categories “Retailers Choice” they were also selected by the jury. The specialised public voted for them online before the trade fair, as well as on site on the first day of the fair.
The winner of the “Retailers Choice Awards-Best Pieces of Jewelry” is the egf Manufaktur with the retailers choice. The winner of the “Retailers Choice Awards-Best Watch” is Casio Europe with the “G-SHOCK GM-B2100GD5AER”.
The jury
Renowned personalities certify the quality of the INHORGENTA AWARD. First of all the watch expert Gisbert L. Brunner and the jewellery designer Leo Eberlin. Also Sarah Fabergé (director of special projects Fabergé). But also Anja Heiden (member of the executive board of WEMPE) and Martin Julier (head of Gemlab Bucherer).
Also Giorgia Mondani (watch expert and digital entrepreneur) and designer Patrik Muff. But also founder and editor-in-chief Katerina Perez and blogger and fashion label owner Nina Schwichtenberg. Also Christoph Stelzer (Dfrost, retail specialist) and Dr. Christianne Weber-Stöber (CEO of the Gesellschaft für Goldschmiedekunst e.V. (German Goldsmiths' Association).
The next Inhorgenta Munich will take place at the Munich Exhibition Centre from 16-19 February 2024.
The Hellenic-German Chamber of Commerce is also organizing a Greek Group Pavilion in the framework of extroversion and business networking activities.
It is worth noting that 2024 will be a special year for Inhorgenta Munich, as it will celebrate a milestone anniversary in its history, completing 50 years of stable and successful presence!
