From Friday 18 to Sunday 20 March 2022, the Vicenza Exhibition Centre is this year enriching its spirit with a space dedicated to modern watches. Taking the opportunity of the new March dates, it gives space to the latest new entries and the culture of watchmaking. Zenith, Girard-Perregaux, Eberhard & Co, Corum, Perrelet, Vincent Calabrese, Locman Italy, Junghans, Timex and Wyler Vetta. These are the first confirmed names that, thanks to the Vicenzaoro stage, will meet end customers and the industry.
The long history of watchmaking is reaching its peak in terms of economic valuation. Thus it has experienced a steady growth trend in recent years, reaching a peak with a record in 2021. The decisive rise in Swiss watch exports contributed to this record. In October 2021, Swiss watch exports amounted to CHF 2.1 billion (EUR 2 billion at the current exchange rate). In elegant lounges in the foyer of the first floor of the Vicenza Exhibition Centre, in an environment for watch lovers, the press and dealers. It will not only be an opportunity to meet, admire, see and touch the products on display, but also to talk and network.
Authoritative Italian and foreign institutions will offer educational seminars to the public. The FHH - Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie will kick off the event with two sessions. Continuing with sessions with instructors from the CAPAC watchmaking school in Milan to learn the basics of mechanical watchmaking.
