High jewellery watches from Watches and Wonders.

The most talked about high jewellery creations from Watches & Wonders 2024. From glamorous sautoirs by Piaget, Vacheron Constantin and Chanel to gemstone watches by Cartier, Gucci and Van Cleef & Arpels.

The annual Watches & Wonders trade fair in Geneva is an opportunity for the world's most famous manufacturers. There they can showcase the pinnacle of watchmaking and history. But this year was no exception and included an excellent selection of jewellery watches. Jewelry that featured precise gemstone setting, enamel painting, stone sculpture, stone marquetry and much more.

These are favourite Something About Rocks creations from Watches & Wonders 2024.

Gucci

Gucci G-Timeless Planetarium.

Gucci's magnificent G-Timeless Planetarium. It features 12 rotating stones surrounding a diamond tourbillon in the centre of the watch. But to liven up the dial, these gems include opals, garnets, yellow beryl, peridot, tourmaline, topaz, tanzanite, amethyst and rubellite for a rainbow of light on the wrist.

Piaget

Piaget Swinging Sautoir.

Sautoir watches are back. But you will have heard of the Piaget rotating gold pendant watch. It's one of the highlights of this year's presentation, centred around a kaleidoscopic 11.68-carat white opal bell suspended in a trapeze-shaped case.

Chanel

Chanel Sautoir Bust Couture.

Another special sautoir is also the Chanel Bust Couture pendant watch. It's hung with a yellow gold doll, snowed in diamonds, with a black lacquered dial hidden in the middle.

Cartier

Cartier crocodile jewellery.

Cartier also transported watch lovers to an animal kingdom of precious gems with its newest collection of fine watchmaking. So among the pieces they presented was this Crocodile Jewelry Watch. The watch features a sculpture of the reptile around a white round case. The model is adorned with mother of pearl, enamel, sapphires, brilliant cut diamonds and even a cabochon cut emerald for an eye.

Vacheron Constantin

Vacheron Constantin Grand Lady Kalla.

Vacheron Constantin's new Grand Lady Kalla redefines an original 1979 design as a shiny new diamond pendant watch. Its slim, rectangular case and bracelet are set with 268 emerald-cut diamonds weighing over 46 carats. Meanwhile, the sautoir features polished onyx and diamonds, as well as a tassel of bright Akoya pearls.

Van Cleef & Arpels

Van Cleef & Arpels Lady Jour Nuit.

For 2024, Van Cleef & Arpels has redesigned the Jour Nuit watch. A model first presented in 2008. So this new 33 mm design is presented in a white gold case highlighted by a dial made of aventurine and mother-of-pearl glass. Furthermore, the dial presents a glittering night sky with white gold stars sprinkled with diamonds.
