MeisterSinger is the world's leading brand in the production of watches with a single hand. The time is indicated by a single sharp hand running through the 12 hours divided into 144 indications, each representing 5 minutes.
The Perigraph, one of the most popular models of the German watchmaker, retains this specificity while adding an original date display based on a prominent 360° disc, enriching the dial and adding depth.
Recently, we had the opportunity to wear and try on two special editions of the Perigraph featuring a striking look, with a sunburst blue dial with yellow accents. We are now pleased to share with you our photos and impressions.
MeisterSinger Perigraph special models 38 mm and 43 mm
The new striking colour combination is presented in two sizes: the original 43 mm x 11.5 mm (code S-AM1018) and a new 38 mm x 10.5 mm version (code S-BM1118), suitable for those who prefer a smaller size. Each version is limited to 100 pieces.
Made of stainless steel with polished surfaces, both cases are equipped with a domed sapphire crystal and a large crown adorned with an embossed MeisterSinger logo, the musical mark for a pause. The watches are water-resistant up to 5 bar (50 meters / 165 feet).
Thanks to the curved lugs, even the larger 43 mm version fits comfortably on the wrist. The 38 mm model will be ideal for thin wrists, ladies and those who prefer not to wear large watches. The wrist size in our photos is 18 cm / 7 in. See also our Instagram clip to compare the two sizes.
MeisterSinger Perigraph special models, 38 mm and 43 mm
The two special Perigraph models come with an ultra-soft leather strap in yellow, perfectly matching the dial's accents, and are fastened to the wrist with a steel buckle. You also have the option of choosing between other leather straps or a Milanese mesh bracelet. The width of the lugs is 20 mm for the 43 mm version and 18 mm for the 38 mm version.
The dial features a gorgeous medium blue color with a sunburst finish. The white typography and bright yellow accents stand out on it.
The date is displayed with a concentric ring rotating openly in the centre of the dial. Each day at midnight, it advances by one step, and displays the current date just below 12 o'clock. As indicated by the small yellow arrow just above the MeisterSinger logo.
The selection mechanisms are displayed through the glass exposure back with 6 screws. For optimal proportions, the Perigraph 38 mm has a Sellita SW300 automatic mechanism. The mechanism is 1 mm thinner than the SW200 of the 43 mm version.
Both mechanisms operate at a frequency of 4 Hz. That is 28,800 vibrations per hour), with a power reserve of 42 hours for the SW300 and 38 hours for the SW200. Meticulously refined, they feature rotors engraved with the brand logo.
The “One of 100” imprint on the glass exhibition back underlines the exclusivity of these two watches. And, like most MeisterSinger models, these special Perigraph versions can also be engraved.
The new MeisterSinger Perigraph Special models, with either a 38 mm or 43 mm case, have a suggested retail price of EUR 2,190.
The combination of a sporty case, an impressive dial, a reliable movement and a reasonable price makes this watch very attractive. Also a favorite in the MeisterSinger collection. meistersinger.com
