Jade Ruzzo's latest tribute to the Volunteer State is a chic, versatile diamond necklace that complements any neckline. It can be worn alone, but can also be paired with a long pendant necklace.
The “Tennessee Torque” necklace is the latest addition to the designer's “Tennessee” collection.
The series focuses on the delicate movement of the pendants, set in a frame of diamonds and gemstones. Like Ruzzo's “Percussion” collection, it pays homage to music.
The designer explained: “I designed the Tennessee ring, the first piece in the collection, while I was in Tennessee. Much of my design inspiration came from music,. My father was a drummer and I grew up around music.”.
In Tennessee, music is everywhere, from Nashville to Memphis to the Great Smoky Mountains.
“Tennessee has a heart but also a soul that I felt I could literally hear. A rhythm that I felt was moving,” Ruzzo said.
“The idea that music is felt and movement is heard seemed profound to me. So that's where my inspiration for the fringe and movement of diamonds came from. I wanted the movement to be quite subtle. So that it would feel like soft, steady music throughout the day.’.
Crafted and hand-finished in New York, the Tennessee Torque necklace features G-H, VS diamonds and is made to order in 18-karat white, rose or yellow gold.
The retail price is $39,800.
