Natural pearls from Rapaport.

Rapaport has launched a natural pearl auction, with screenings in New York, Bahrain and online. Bidding for this auction closes on March 8.

This auction offers approximately 340 lots of natural pearls, including an exciting variety of shapes, sizes and colours. Each pearl was formed in nature without human intervention and is one of a kind. But these pearls are sought after by jewelry designers and manufacturers. They create jewelry for clients seeking truly unique gemstones.

The pearls have been directly supplied by divers from Bahrain. They operate under strict government supervision to ensure the protection of the natural environment and environmental sustainability. All pearls are graded and certified as natural by DANAT, the Pearls and Stones Institute of Bahrain.

New York screenings are available from Friday, February 23 through Tuesday, February 27, 2024. In Bahrain they will be available from Monday 4 March to Friday 8 March 2024. Online screenings are also available throughout this period. A catalogue and offer form are available on request.

Bids close on Friday 8 March, 11am EST/7pm Bahrain Time. Winners will be notified shortly afterwards.

“Rapaport in an exclusive relationship with DANAT, the Pearl and Stone Institute of Bahrain, is creating a new market. A market for certified natural pearls that are environmentally and socially responsible. We are delighted to have this opportunity to offer natural pearls directly from Bahraini divers to the jewellery trade,” said Martin Rapaport, president of the Rapaport Group.

“We look forward to developing the natural pearl market with the international Rapaport Group. This new initiative will offer Bahraini divers direct access to the global jewellery industry,” said Noora Jamsheer, Managing Director of DANAT.
