Greek jewellery auctioned for charity.

Greek jewellery designers have donated jewellery for the Hellenic Initiative's annual auction.

The “Daphne Pendant” from the brand Zolotas, in 18-carat yellow gold and featuring lapis lazuli and diamonds. The pendant hangs from a satin cord.

We may associate this time of year with gifts and extravagance, but it's also the season of giving.

The Hellenic Initiative's 10th anniversary gala is scheduled for December 3 at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.

The non-profit organization raises money for programs to help with crisis relief. But also entrepreneurship and economic development in Greece.

One of the fundraising efforts is the annual auction to be held in conjunction with the New York City gala.

As in previous years, several Greek jewellery designers have contributed their works to the auction. The purpose is to raise money for the mission of the Hellenic Initiative. Among the designers are Lito, Lalaounis, Zolotas and Katerina Marmagioli.
