The Serpenti appeared in 1948, and first took the form of a wrapped watch bracelet. It was made with the brand's Tubogas chains, inspired by flexible gas pipes. It quickly gained a star status thanks to its famous fans, such as Elizabeth Taylor. Taylor was photographed wearing her own Serpenti diamond bracelet on the set of the film «Cleopatra» in 1962.

Currently, 28 artworks by 19 Chinese and international artists are scattered throughout the new exhibition. Of these, 11 were created exclusively for the occasion. They exemplify the many iterations of Serpenti throughout history, as well as the importance of the snake in art and the wider media.

Refik Anadol, an artist of new technologies, also created a 3D sculpture. The «Infinito: Ai Data Sculpture», which is located in the centre of a room with a 360-degree mirror. He had already collaborated with Bvlgari in 2023 in an exhibition at London's Saatchi Gallery to mark Serpenti's 75th anniversary.
