«Making your mark» takes on a new meaning with S.T. Dupont's latest innovation in jewellery: the Marker necklace is aimed at creative thinkers, creatives or artists who always need a pen in hand.
The Marker necklace has a mini Sharpie for any inspiration that needs to be written or sketched. Priced at $495, the necklace features S.T. Dupont's signature diamond and is available in gold, chrome and matte black. It's also engraved with a D, for Dupont, under the cover.
Functional and fun? That's the purpose behind S.T. Dupont's creations on these otherwise everyday items, says the accessories company's CEO Alain Crevet. Each Marker or Lighter necklace features a chain that can be adjusted to three different lengths.
«The idea was born out of a long-held belief of S.T. Dupont: a functional object can also be a style object,» says Crevet. «The Lighter necklace came from the desire to transform one of our iconic creations into a personal, yet expressive accessory.».
Both necklaces are inspired by streetwear culture as well as hip-hop, says Crevet. Let's call it French elegance through a modern prism - something usually hidden in your pocket, now proudly displayed on your neck. The popularity of the Lighter necklace led to the creation of the Marker.
Ahead of the festive gifts, S.T. Dupont has also expanded its range of Lighter necklaces. The necklace, previously only available in gold or silver with a decorative diamond-shaped motif, is now available in black lacquer with gold or silver, priced at $495.
«We wanted to explore the same dialogue between purpose and elegance by elevating a mini Sharpie - a tool beloved by creatives, thinkers and artists - into a fashion accessory,» says Crevet.
Another version of this functional and elegant S.T. Dupont jewelry will be released in early 2026, although Crevet did not provide further details. However, this innovative approach is in line with the brand's emphasis on technical precision, exceptional craftsmanship and quality.
«Jewelry is a natural evolution of S.T. Dupont. For more than 150 years, we have been creating personal objects - lighters, writing instruments, accessories - that accompany our daily movements and express our identity,» says Crevet. «And since S.T. Dupont has been a goldsmith since 1872, working precious metals with exceptional craftsmanship, these jewels are an integral part of our DNA. A functional piece of jewellery simply continues this philosophy.».
