Co-founders Afzal Imram and Lin Ruiyin brought their son's story of a cosmic egg to life. Also for a toad and a railroad in their new collection.
The Story of Everything collection is based on a story by the son of the co-founders of State Property, which follows characters in space as they search for a golden egg.
State Property presented its collection «The Story of Everything», following a story of adventure.
Co-founders and designers Afzal Imram and Lin Ruiyin celebrated the brand's 10th anniversary by creating a special collection based on a story told by their three-year-old son.
The Story of Everything is about a hunt in space for a golden egg with their son as a space explorer along with his partner Captain Lime, Imram explained.
While travelling in a spaceship that travels on a railway line, they meet strange characters along the way, including a toadstool mushroom.
«It was such a fun and funny process. There were so many characters and elements in his story that are so interesting. But also some that are so hard to turn into jewelry that is elegant and desirable,» Imram and Ruiyin said.
«He was also more curious about what we do at work and so we share what we do with him more and more. And this collection was a way of including him in that process. We treated him like a client in a way, with significant check-ins to let him know about the collection process.».
The collection highlights three elements of his story. The cosmic egg, the toad and the railway, which have become symbols of wonder and discovery. And now they are being redefined in the light of State Property's elegance, combining naivety and whimsy with style.
«This collection is not only about space. It's about curiosity, creativity and the quiet magic of family life.» As the brand explained, the story is for every parent, every child and anyone who has ever listened closely to a little voice.
The 16-piece collection uses 18-carat yellow, white and rose gold. With accents of red, black and white enamel, as well as diamonds.
The earrings, pendants, bracelets and rings are sold at retail prices ranging from $3,680 to $12,600.
The Story of Everything collection debuted at Couture in June. It is set to be released online and in stores this month.
