Long strap, strong comeback.

Long leather cords adorned with numerous charms, gemstones, or small decorative objects reminiscent of 90s souvenir shops are popping up everywhere.

From the fanciest version by Ralph Lauren to the most modern approach by Dries Van Noten, this type of necklace offers a sense of freedom and spontaneity while remaining elegant.

This is the perfect accessory for those who love a classic, bohemian look that isn't too flashy.

The pendant with the pendant became the center of attention.

There are trends that make us feel like we're reliving high school days, and pendant necklaces are an example.

The locket pendant can be opened to store photos or keepsakes, giving it a vintage feel. Women can wear multiple necklaces at once to create a more striking and modern look.

At Chloé's runway show, large gold pendant necklaces were the main jewelry. Meanwhile, Meryll Rogge offered a more interesting way to wear them, leaving the pendant completely open instead of closed as usual.

Large natural stones are becoming popular.

Agate and other large colored stones often appear on the runways. Roberto Cavalli impressed with a striking red agate, while Bottega Veneta presented spectacular necklaces with large diamonds.

The Tiny watches are the most remarkable accessory right now.

Thin vintage watches are making a strong comeback. Instead of just being worn as watches, they are paired with bracelets, worn over sleeves, or even appear in unexpected places.

Paradis, many mini watches are attached to sweaters and bags like brooches. Lacoste, on the other hand, makes the watch face the main focus of the overall look.

The smaller and more unusual it is, the more faithful it is to the spirit of this trend.

Perhaps it's Versace's return to the fashion forefront. Or perhaps it's the imminent return of «Rivals.» The television series based on Jilly Cooper's best-sellers, this month. Whatever the reason, in the world of jewelry, the revival of the shapes, colors, and material combinations of the 80s is in full swing.

Impressive bracelets are suddenly becoming fashionable. A new My Dior bracelet is made from yellow and white gold, creating a striking contrast. And it's worn oversized on the wrist.

Ali Khalil of Antwerp-based brand Levuma also crafts L’Armure bracelets from titanium. In midnight blue or yellow gold, which is then worked to achieve a uniquely textured finish. Both are adorned with hand-set white diamonds. A third option comes from the Parisian haute joaillerie house Chaumet of Place Vendôme. Where a rose gold Bee de Chaumet bracelet is set with brilliant-cut diamonds.

My Dior bracelet, by Dior.

L'Armure Bracelets, by Levuma.

Bee de Chaumet bracelet, by Chaumet.

Large, statement earrings are also making a comeback. From Graff: a pair of high jewelry earrings featuring two 7-carat Colombian emeralds. Also round emeralds and numerous white diamonds. The bold, geometric design is partly inspired by the Memphis Group, the Milanese design collective founded by Ettore Sottsass in 1980, and partly by the Dynasty series. At Repossi, everything revolves around gemstone bracelets.

This year, the brand is celebrating its 40th anniversary at 6, Place Vendôme. As it reinterprets the Monogram Birth bracelet first designed by Alberto Repossi in 1986.

«The 1980s influences my work through the use of gemstones and bold designs,’ says Ananya Malhotra. »I am particularly inspired by the era's strong silhouettes, architectural forms, and statement pieces.« Malhotra studied at London's Central Saint Martins. She founded her business in 2017 and creates pieces such as the Chakra Twin beaded necklace. The design's moonstone and clear quartz beads offer a fresh take on princess-style pearl strands. Isabel Delgado and Anita Ko are two other independent designers. Both draw inspiration from the design vocabulary of the 1980s.

A Repossi advertising campaign from 1986, which inspired the reissue of the brand's Monogram Birth bracelet.

Traditional brands are also digging directly into their archives. At Tiffany & Co., designs by Paloma Picasso, who first collaborated with the New York brand in 1980, continue to be popular. A new addition to the collection is the lifelike Olive Leaf earrings, handcrafted in yellow gold and adorned with diamonds and amethysts.

At Bulgari, mini hoop earrings are a new addition to the iconic Tubogas collection by the Roman brand. Based on a jewelry-making technique with coiled gold bands, Tubogas pieces date back to 1948, but it was four decades later that their silhouette rose to prominence.

«The 1980s represent a vibrant expression of daring, courage, and experimentation, values that perfectly align with Bulgari's spirit,» states Lucia Silvestri, Executive Director of Jewelry Creation. «Its fluid, sculptural coils embody a harmonious synthesis of functionality and aesthetics, remaining impressively contemporary even today. Design is always a dialogue between past and future.»

Tubogas ring, by Bulgari.

Double Tiger Head Bracelet, by Cartier.

Within the workshops of Milanese jeweler Pomellato, Artistic Director Vincenzo Castaldo perfects unique high jewelry pieces, such as necklaces, rings, and other items that draw inspiration from the brand's design heritage. Selected pieces pay homage to the 1980s, a period during which Pomellato adopted architectural forms and striking volumes. «It was a foundational decade, characterized by an unrestrained creative freedom that permeated every field, from fashion to design, from art to culture.

»It was a time of great courage, marked by a strong desire for experimentation and exploration,« explains Castaldo. »For this reason, the decade remains a benchmark: it reminds us that creativity always needs this kind of push. For me, staying connected to that energy is a great source of inspiration.".

The 1980s also proved to be stylistically significant for Cartier. That’s when avant-garde material combinations and striking motifs – such as a series of panthers, sculpted in relief along a necklace – set the tone. ’The jewelry of the 1980s pushed the exploration of possibilities even further, particularly in terms of designs, inspirations, and materials,« says Pierre Rainero, Cartier's Director of Image, Style, and Heritage.

«Let us remember, then, that Cartier is known as the «jeweler of kings» for its precious jewelry sets. It dared to combine gold and steel to achieve new aesthetic results and volume effects. Part of the impressive 1988 Animalière collection, the Double Tiger Head bracelets in yellow gold with black lacquer and two pear-shaped emeralds for eyes and one onyx for the great feline's nose are among Cartier's significant creations of the era.

Cameron Cook leads the ’80s jewelry trend in the second season of Rivals.

While some designers and houses create new pieces inspired by the decade's style, others offer historical pieces for sale. At Van Cleef & Arpels, this includes a romantic yellow gold necklace with ruby daisies and white diamonds, first presented in 1983. The necklace is now available through the house's Heritage collection.

The team behind Van Cleef & Arpels' Heritage collection, founded in 2007, seeks out, examines, analyzes, and then restores pieces from the company's past. Once their history is researched, these pieces are made available on the open market and exhibited at specialized shows, such as TEFAF Maastricht.

In London, seek out the established dealer Charlie Barron. «Heavy, chunky, but also bold yellow gold jewelry was the look of the 1980s,» he notes. Today, Barron's Bruton Street showroom features a yellow gold Tubas necklace worthy of Cameron Cook, set with a 18.34-carat round diamond.

Rihanna has been the centerpiece of the Met Gala for years, showcasing artistic red carpet looks. As she arrives fashionably late, this year was no different.

With the theme «Fashion is Art,» she wore a Maison Margiela dress by Glenn Martens. Inspired by medieval architecture and paintings by the Flemish Primitives in Flanders, in northern Belgium.

Her dress was made with recycled computer cables as threads. But the bodice of the bust used more than 115,000 crystal beads, antique jewelry, and chains.

However, the standout feature of Rihanna's look was her Glenn Spiro earrings.

The «Old Moghul Golconda» earrings feature two impressive brown-yellow diamonds weighing a total of 51.90 carats.

Set in an 18-karat rose gold and titanium frame. Each pear-cut diamond is surrounded by pavé-set white diamonds, totaling 29.32 carats.

«Our focus has always been on discovering gemstones first, and then creating designs that follow their own style,» stated Glenn Spiro, founder and lead jeweler of his namesake brand.

«The ultimate goal is to find the perfect woman who will bring these creations to life. Seeing the two amazing old mine cognac diamonds that Rihanna wore at the Met Gala was a truly perfect match.»

Jewelry featuring «Desert Diamonds» has become a trend since De Beers launched its «beacon» program last fall. Last month, they expanded the program to the bridal jewelry category with a campaign and a general program covering the entire industry.

Bad Bunny also wore a Desert Diamond for his Super Bowl halftime show in February. While Rose Byrne opted for a Taffin Desert Diamond set for her March Oscars appearance.

Although the biggest diamonds Rihanna wore were the Desert Diamonds, she also wore jewelry with white diamonds.

Complete her ear style with a collection of ear cuffs from Briony Raymond and Dyne.

Rihanna also wore (from left to right) Briony Raymond's «Sloan» ear cuff in 14k white gold with pavé. A slim version in 14k white gold with pavé, and an 18k yellow gold version. As well as Dyne's «Elixia» ear cuff in 18k yellow gold.

On her right ear, she wore a trio of Briony Raymond ear cuffs. The «Sloane» ear cuff in 18-karat white gold with pavé diamonds. Also the slim version of the «Sloane» ear cuff in 18-karat white gold and pavé. And also a simpler version in 18-karat yellow gold.

On her left ear, she wore the «Elixia» earring by Dyne. It wraps twice around the ear, in 18-karat white gold with reverse-set diamonds.

Rihanna also wore some rings and many bracelets that perfectly matched her dress, which was decorated with vintage elements.

Rihanna's bracelets included (top row, from left to right) a torque bracelet by Munnu Gem Palace and a Victorian cuff by Joseph Saidian and Sons. As well as a «Flower» bracelet (bottom row) by Munnu Gem Palace on each wrist.

The Victorian bracelet, dating circa 1900, hails from Joseph Saidian and Sons. It is seen on her left wrist and features rose-cut diamonds in silver and 14k yellow gold. The other bracelets were from Munnu Gem Palace.

She wore a «Flower» bracelet with rose-cut and round-cut diamonds in 14k yellow gold and silver on each wrist. As well as a torque bracelet with rose-cut diamonds totaling 13 carats in 18k white gold and silver on her right wrist.

Rihanna also combined three rings with her Met Gala look, two of which are from Munnu Gem Palace — a «Munnu» ring (left) and an «Indo-Russian» ring (right).

The Munnu Gem Palace also provided two of her three rings.

Continuing the topic of rose-cut diamonds, a «Munnu» 14k gold and silver ring with a total of 28.52 carats of diamonds adorned Rihanna's left hand. On her right hand, she wore a 14k yellow gold «Indo-Russian» ring with a 3.20-carat diamond at its center.

On her right finger, she wore a ring designed by Suzanne Belperron in the 1930s, which was supplied by Fred Leighton.

Of course, we mustn't forget to mention the vintage manicure style, which was adorned with sparkling crystals, like a Victorian jewel.

A few weeks ago, Brittany Siminitz says she added a few things to her cart at an online fashion retailer. She felt a rush of excitement: a large, chunky beaded necklace in the most perfect sunset-red hue. But it had to be pre-ordered, proof of its popularity (or perhaps shipping issues). But it would take longer to arrive than I was willing to wait.

I was quite disappointed that I had to cancel the order. As it turned out, however, I didn't have to worry about finding another necklace like it. There are plenty of necklaces with oversized beads — and even better ones.

A beautiful piece of fashion might be more within this woman's budget. But the world of high-end and mid-range jewelry is also rich with options. As for this blossoming style, our industry offers a plethora of choices.

Designers quickly responded to the renewed demand for maximalism, with oversized beads shaping up to be one of the season's most significant jewelry trends. These pieces don't just accessorize an outfit—they anchor it, serving as a true focal point rather than a secondary element.

This style covers a wide range of materials, from silver and gold-plated designs. As well as some solid gold versions, for the%(1) to carved opaque gemstones, resin, and even wood. And, of course, a necklace of oversized pearls is always a welcome variation.

The shapes vary from flatter, cylindrical beads to softly rounded ovals. Although it is the bold, perfectly spherical designs that make the strongest impression. The lengths also cover the full spectrum. But the shorter ones, which reach the neck, look particularly modern at the moment. Prices follow the same trend, ranging from affordable to investment-worthy.

If there's one piece to highlight this spring and summer—one that instantly refreshes your jewelry collection with minimal effort—it's the oversized bead necklace. Here are some of the latest.

Beck, Anchor necklace in 18k yellow gold with sodalite, (at Muse).

Crosses, amulets, and iconic symbols historically associated with faith and protection are making a comeback. Not only for their spiritual significance, but also for their aesthetic value.

High jewelry houses are revisiting the theme with a modern perspective.

Pomellato, for example, places the cross at the heart of the Bisanzio collection, with crosses adorned with colorful gemstones. Tiffany & Co. returns with designs by Jean Schlumberger. One of the most important jewelry designers of the 20th century, he redefined their design when he joined Tiffany & Co. in 1956. Meanwhile, Bvlgari offers rose gold versions with aquamarines, tourmalines, and diamonds.

Vittoria Ceretti on the Dolce & Gabbana runway, wearing cross-shaped earrings.

Left: Marine Topaz Cross, by Theo Fennell, a favorite of Elton John and the British scene. @ theofennell.com.

Left: Luminous Diamond Cross, @ kessaris.gr. Right: Cross from the Spectrum collection by Nikos Koulis. «Crosses inspire me and are a form of continuous expression,» notes the designer. @ nikoskoulis.com

More and more jewelry designers are approaching the cross with a more contemporary outlook. Combining diamonds with dark metals, creating pieces that move between sculptural, minimalist, and sometimes gothic.

The trend isn't limited to the large international houses. On the Greek scene of contemporary jewelry making, the interest in symbols with deeper meaning is also evident.

Nikos Koulis, for example, approaches jewelry as an architectural form, where geometry and light substitute for direct symbolism, creating pieces that exude power. Kessaris maintains a more direct connection to tradition, incorporating timeless, diamond-embellished motifs into contemporary creations that balance between the classic and the current.

Lito Fine Jewelry, on the other hand, with its strong use of symbols, such as the eye. It highlights the timeless need for jewelry that functions not only as decorative elements but also as personal «talismans.» In these cases, the meaning is left to be shaped by the wearer themselves.

The Greek approach differentiates itself precisely at this point. The symbols may not be stripped of their religious interpretation, as one might expect. But at the same time, they re-emerge as elements of cultural memory and personal identity. The jewelry thus becomes an object that balances between aesthetics, tradition, and individual interpretation.

In the market for collectible jewelry,.

From Princess Diana's personal jewelry to a modern collector's item for Kim Kardashian.

The Attallah cross, with amethysts and diamonds, which Garrard loaned to Princess Diana for her to wear to a charity event, 1987. @ sothebys.com

When history becomes relevant again

Part of the trend is also attributed to the return of early 2000s aesthetics, where similar symbols had a strong presence. However, the current version appears more mature and layered. It's not just a revival, but a redefinition.

The same dynamic was recently reinforced by an event that brought the issue back into the spotlight in a tangible way. A striking amethyst and diamond cross, by Garrard, which Princess Diana had worn repeatedly in the late 1980s, was put up for auction by Sotheby's in London, drawing intense interest.

The jewel, known as the 1920s Attallah Cross, sold for 163,800 pounds (193,000 euros), a price that, according to the house's experts, may be a record for a cross.

Its aesthetic value played a decisive role, as did its provenance, since the connection with Diana continues to lend particular weight to any object associated with her image. The winning bid came from Kim Kardashian, who in recent years has systematically invested in items linked to iconic figures of the 20th century.

This auction also serves as an indication of a broader comeback for the cross, recalling its strong presence in the 1990s and early 2000s, when figures like Drew Barrymore and Cindy Crawford systematically incorporated it into their style. At the core of this aesthetic remains Madonna, from her *Like a Virgin* (1984) era, who helped establish the cross as a styling element.

Cross from the Pomellato house, where the flush setting technique allows stones to be integrated without visible bezels, @ pomellato.com

“Petit Bleu” necklace in 14k yellow gold with enamel eye and diamonds, a modern take on a talisman. @ litofinejewelry.com

However, the question today is more complex: can one wear a cross purely as an aesthetic choice without touching on issues of cultural or religious sensitivity? According to Michael Coan, professor of jewelry design at the Fashion Institute of Technology, the cross is not exclusively a Christian symbol. The shape has appeared since prehistory and in different cultures has been associated with (or interpreted as representing) concepts such as the four points of the compass or the four elements of nature, which also explains its timeless, almost universal appeal. This allows designers to approach the motif as an «open» symbol, capable of appealing to different audiences.

At the same time, collections that draw inspiration from different traditions, from the Egyptian ankh cross to the infinity symbol of Eastern religions, show that the interest is not limited to a single faith, but extends to a broader system of symbolism.

In this context, the cross returns as an object with special weight, aesthetic, historical, but also collectible significance. Its return is not just about fashion, but about value: an object that gains meaning through its history and its place in the present.

The social media platform has published its «Pinterest Predicts» trend report for 2026. It highlights 21 developing trends that it believes will dominate in the coming year. As many of which are rooted in maximalist aesthetics and eccentric style.

Trends are growing 4.4 times faster than seven years ago, according to Pinterest.

Overall, today's consumers are focused on comfort, personal expression and escape from reality. They are attracted to trends that match who they are or who they want to become, Pinterest noted.

Nostalgia is a common theme throughout the exhibition, with increased searches for vintage jewellery and Art Deco design. As consumers look for styles they can reclaim to combine past and present. A theme seen at several recent high-profile engagements this year.

In 2025, celebrities such as Zendaya, Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus debuted engagement rings with a mix of vintage and modern design elements.

Below, National Jeweler highlights six predicted Pinterest trends for 2026. Trends related to jewelry, from pins to blue to «unreal».

«Pins»

Rahaminov Diamond's. Heart shaped brooch with 7 carat diamonds set in platinum.

It's time to wear your pins. These ornate pins are one of the major jewelry styles that will dominate in 2026, according to Pinterest. With searches for «pin aesthetics» increasing by 110%.

It predicts that men, specifically millennials (ages 28-43) and baby boomers (ages 60 and older), will wear accessories with vintage pins, crystal clips and heirloom pins.

Plus, «Poetcore», another predicted trend that sees Generation Z (aged 18-27) and millennials wearing oversized turtlenecks, vintage jackets and messenger bags. It could spark demand for «tie accessories,» a search term that grew by 85%.

The Back Vault Art Deco pin with diamonds in platinum.

Searches on Pinterest for «maximalist accessories» have also increased by 105%, probably suggesting that more men will be wearing multiple lapel pins in 2026.

«Heirloom jewelry» is also on the rise, with a 45% increase in Pinterest searches.

Pinterest stated: «It's part tribute, part reinvention. If your grandmother wouldn't have worn it, is it really in the style of the time?»

«We Are Seeds Petunia» brooch by Harwell Godfrey with diamonds set in platinum.

He predicts that the «Neo Deco» trend, which means «new art deco» or «modern art deco», will be big next year.

The aesthetic combines the design style of the 1920s with modern elements. Think contemporary V-shaped motifs and archways - while retaining the characteristic boldness and geometry of Art Deco.

«Glamoratti»

Thick gold jewellery has been a big hit this year and this trend is expected to continue until 2026.

Despite the fact that the price of gold is nearly $4,300 per ounce at the time of publication, consumers are not hesitant to invest in the thick jewelry they like.

18K yellow gold chain necklace, circa 1970s, from Future Reference Vintage.

The jewelry will become thicker, bolder and more «golden,» according to Pinterest. In keeping with the decadent aesthetic of the trend it calls «Glamoratti».

A personalised Marie Lichtenberg bracelet set with diamonds in 18-carat yellow gold.

In terms of specific pieces, searches for «gold bracelets» have increased by 50%.

«Glitchy Glam»

In 2026, asymmetry, i.e. mismatched earrings, is predicted to become even more popular.

Harkness «After the Rain» earrings in 18 karat yellow gold.

Pair of Morrow Fine earrings with peridot, opal and diamonds in 18 karat yellow gold.

Pinterest noted that Gen Z and millennials will continue to prefer mismatched manicures. Also two-tone lipsticks and bright eyeshadows in binary shades.

Rosario Navia's «Twist» earrings in 18 karat yellow gold with 0.65 carats of brilliant cut diamonds, set in platinum.

«Cool Blue»

Mindi Mond pendant necklace with 163 carat aquamarine and diamonds in 18 carat white gold.

Domestic jewelry brands present their proposals for the 2026 charm, pieces that, although associated with the coming of the new year, have that timeless aura that makes them much more than a seasonal amulet. In fact, the charm has made a dynamic comeback as an everyday jewel, a small but essential symbol of personal intention, protection and aesthetic identity.

Wuri: From tradition to statement piece

The tradition of the gouro in Greece has deep roots. From ancient Greece to modern times, our culture has always sought ways to weave good luck into everyday life. In its modern version, the charm is no longer an object that “ends” with January; instead, it has evolved into a statement detail that is worn all year round. Precisely because its meaning does not belong to just one day. It belongs to everything we want to remember, honour and attract.

Greek brands have played a key role in this transformation. With careful design, premium materials and high jewellery details, they transform a symbolism into an object of personal aesthetics. A number, a symbol, a geometry or a word acquire a clear, minimalist language that does not scream “good luck” but captures an intention: to start the year and every day with light.

A tender gift

A good luck charm as a gift is still one of the most loving gestures. A charm chosen for someone you love always carries a message within it. And when it is well crafted, with a balance between symbol and jewellery, it becomes a gift that does not “sleep” in a drawer, but is worn, accompanies, becomes part of a personal narrative.

For those who choose it for themselves, it serves as a little reminder of self-care. A subtle reminder that you deserve something beautiful, something to “hold you” through the year. And maybe that's why the charms of recent years have become so popular. Because they're not just charms, they're a quiet statement of optimism and elegance. So this year, the Greek brands’ charms don't just accompany the change of year, they illuminate the entire horizon of personal style.

Silver can provide a striking appearance at a fraction of the cost of gold in many cases. And some of the industry's most beloved brands are fans of it. So they offer a plethora of stunning silver jewellery.

Fever 02 ring in silver with lab-grown diamonds, Sapfira

But in a consumer world that is often concerned with prestige, is silver enough? Emili Vesilind, co-host of the Rough Cut jewelry podcast, impressed me with her thoughts on Substack about how to present and sell silver to customers.

Certainly, it is often the least expensive metal and economically less valuable than gold. But that means it must also have less value. Vesilind argues that using the «demi-fine» label for silver (and we're not talking about gold-plated silver or vermeil, which are accurately categorized in this way) is not the treatment this precious metal deserves.

Illusion bracelet in silver, Etiq

«Most jewelry enthusiasts I've talked to on this topic consider demi-fine vermeil or gold-plated gold pieces. To them, calling silver «demi-fine» is actually misleading. And it ultimately hurts retailers because the label implies that silver is not «precious jewelry». It is demi. It is lightweight precious jewelry,» Vesilind writes.

Sculpted Bloom necklace in silver, Awe Inspired x Collina Strada

«And given the explosive growth of the silver jewellery category - fuelled by renewed interest in collectible silver jewellery from designers such as Elsa Perretti for Tiffany & Co, Vivianna Torun Bülow-Hübe, Georg Jensen and Margot de Taxco - is a pretty weak excuse to persist,» Vesilind continues. «According to Jewelers Collective, 53% of jewelry retailers reported an increase in silver jewelry sales in 2024, compared to 2023.».

Slash ring in silver, Auvere

The fact that something is a less expensive alternative does not make it «cheap». Silver jewelry can be rich in both style and substance. As evidenced by the pieces featured here.

You know a good piece of silver jewellery when you hold it in your hands. It's smooth, cold and has a heavy feel that is sublime.

Caviar Bubbly bracelet in silver, Lagos

Putting chunky silver jewellery in your windows is also a good strategy for the holiday season. As Gen Z seems to be obsessed with everything from the 90s and early 2000s. Who can blame them?;

As summer gives way to autumn, lightweight looks with linen fabrics and airy dresses are being retired. They make way for more structured, yet «sophisticated» ensembles. But as much as clothes have the power to define our image, it's jewellery that gives the final - and most impressive - say in style. A well-chosen necklace, a pair of earrings or a special watch can transform even the simplest outfit into a fashion statement.

This autumn brings us six powerful trends that combine elegance with fantasy. Some draw inspiration from the past. Others experiment with the future. But they all have one common denominator: they make everyday dressing more interesting, more personal, more chic.

The trend that started in the summer continues in the autumn. Thin cords with statement pendants - either in the form of abstract sculptures or natural stones. Or even symbolic motifs - give the outfit a bohemian yet sophisticated dimension. They are the perfect accessory to update your everyday looks without any effort.

Necklace with wooden pendant Massimo Dutti.

The metal combination

Gold and silver together? Until yesterday it was considered forbidden, but today it is the most modern way to wear jewellery. Rings that combine different metals, contrasting bracelets or earrings that play with double tones. They create an unpretentious elegance and give your style a new dynamic.

H&M ring in gold and silver.

Charms Charms Charms

The great return of charms is a fact. Whether worn on bracelets, necklaces or even pins. Charms add a playful and personal touch to any look. From symbol charms to small objects with an artistic flair, charms are becoming the most «human» jewellery this year. Because they tell stories and carry meanings.

Bracelet with charms Marc Jacobs.

Modern Pearls

Forget the «proper» pearls of the past. In 2025 pearls take on a fresh, almost avant-garde dimension. They are worn in asymmetrical rows, combined with gemstones, with metals as well as with more modern materials. Thus, the timeless jewellery acquires a new, dynamic character that suits both minimal and more daring outfits.

Necklace with pearls Sophie Bille Brahe.

Mismatched earrings

Asymmetrical, different from each other, mismatched earrings are perhaps the most playful trend of the season. From small studs in different designs to large, sculptural pieces that look like they came out of an art gallery. These earrings add a unique identity to any look. Dare to try them, even if you're not a fan of excess-there are options for all moods.

Mismatched earrings Completedworks.

Coloured watches

The watch ceases to be just a classic accessory and becomes a fashion statement. In autumn 2025 the dials, straps and details are filled with bright colours. From bold reds and deep blues to vivid greens and even pink shades. So a colourful watch can liven up the most serious office look or upgrade a simple pair of jeans with a white shirt. It is the accessory that combines practicality and style in the most subversive way.

Watch with purple Swarovski strap.

Every now and then, minimalism takes over the fashion world, but we never lose sight of the importance of playful, fancy details. The back necklace, which recently made a strong return to the red carpet, is a chic reminder of this fact.

The sparkling chains that run along the back create a subtle but striking effect. The back necklace is subtle but bold and can make a simple dress look much more interesting. These necklaces are usually seen at special events or in looks that bring to mind the golden age of old Hollywood. They are again the favorites for the red carpet.

These accessories range from subtle and minimal to striking and carved. They are more than just a simple complementary element; they are the star of the show.

The history of the back necklace trend begins with Princess Diana herself, the beloved idol of the 1990s. Diana, always looked stunning in her evening backless dresses. But she chose to complement them with long necklaces adorned with large, beautiful stones. She wore these necklaces not only as jewelry but also as a message.

As he broke down the fashion stereotypes of the time, he created a new definition of elegance. Thus the back necklace became an essential part of her style with confidence.

In 2000, the amazing Cate Blanchett graced the Oscar stage, looking stunning in a black dress with a back necklace that was adorned with gold detailing. Blanchett's look was one of the most exquisite examples of how powerful simple elegance can be. The actress embraced the accessory as an integral part of her style throughout the 2010s. She therefore proved to be one of the red carpet pioneers who dared to revamp the look with the back necklace.

In 2021, at the premiere of «Spider-Man: No Way Home» in Paris, Zendaya, one of the style icons of the new generation, took the back necklace trend to a new level. While the dress from Roberto Cavalli's archive, embellished with metallic details that accentuated the spine, evoked the character Doc Ock from the Marvel universe, Zendaya added another theatrical yet elegant dimension to her contemporary red carpet style.

At the 2025 Grammy Awards, Sabrina Carpenter redefined Hollywood glamour with a modern interpretation. Carpenter, complemented her elegant JW Anderson gown with a striking diamond back necklace. It was designed by Chopard. She thus showed off her plunging back neckline with a magnificence that was reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe. This piece reached to the middle of her spine. So that made her one of the most talked about names of the night.

The 2025 Academy Awards presented some modern versions of the classic back necklace trend. Michelle Yeoh complemented her Boucheron-designed tie necklace with asymmetrical earrings and a «Plume de Paon» ring from the same brand. This harmonious choice reflected her classic elegance. While the unusual shape of the necklace gave her look a modern touch.

At the 2025 Oscars, Margaret Qualley wore a black velvet backless dress by Chanel. But she completed her look with a diamond necklace that fell elegantly down her back. Maybe she won't always be in style. But the back necklace can be the focal point of the right style. A chain dangling from a shirt or some sparkling stones shining through an open-back dress can make an outfit look much more interesting.
