Estée Lauder, with the collectible pink bracelet to help in the fight against breast cancer.

Beauty unites us in the fight against breast cancer.

It's been more than 30 years since Evelyn H. Lauder launched the Estée Lauder Companies“ Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign. So she co-created the iconic Pink Ribbon in 1992. She set the Campaign's goal to continually educate the public about the importance of early diagnosis and prevention.

Lauder saw an opportunity to raise awareness and address the stigma about this disease affecting women. She had a single mission: to help create a world without breast cancer.

To date, Estée Lauder Companies has raised more than $118 million worldwide from every country in which it operates. In this way, it is making a positive contribution to the effort.

The Breast Cancer Campaign supports over 60 cancer-related organisations worldwide.

At the same time, more than 5000 free mammograms have been performed by the Estée Lauder Hellas mobile “pink” mammograph, in remote towns and islands throughout Greece.

In Greece, the locally successful Pink Ribbon Bracelet initiative continues this year. Since 2005, Estée Lauder Hellas has been collaborating with the well-known designer Duka, to create the collectible pink bracelet.

The pink bracelet is now a symbol of the fight against breast cancer and also of the importance of early awareness and prevention.

This year, for the 18th consecutive year, Dukas creates the Pink Ribbon Bracelet. The proceeds from the sale of the Pink Ribbon Bracelet fund humanitarian activities and also the great work of the Hellenic Cancer Society. A practical action of corporate social responsibility in this great fight against breast cancer.

Eleni Menegaki is for another year the Greek Ambassador of the Breast Cancer Campaign. She is again the main face of the Greek Pink Ribbon Bracelet campaign. With her long-standing and kind participation, she communicates with great sensitivity the importance of prevention and dynamically reinforces the message of the campaign:

“Beauty obviously unites us in this common fight with Estee Lauder Companies against breast cancer. Let us all be ambassadors of the Campaign together again this year. Let us embrace, like a bracelet, this important initiative that gives hope and saves lives.”.

The bracelet is available from the 2nd of October and while stocks last, at the symbolic price of 15€. It can be found at all official Estée Lauder product outlets throughout Greece. Also on the website esteelauder.gr, in the network of pharmacies that sell Darphin products and in selected salons with AVEDA products.
