- Dynamic opening event with more than 300 brands.
- The industry welcomes the change of location and the quality of trade visitors.
- A welcoming industry meeting offering many networking opportunities.
From 25 to 27 August 2023, INOVA COLLECTION celebrated its premiere in its new location. In the Frankfurt showroom with more than 300 brands and an extensive accompanying programme. This year, the fair followed a new daily programme and closed with the most trade visitors on Sunday, as expected.
Max Maus, project manager of INOVA COLLECTION, sees excellent growth opportunities for the trade fair format after the launch in Frankfurt. “We are very proud of what we have achieved so far with INOVA COLLECTION. The move to the Frankfurt showroom offers us great growth potential. So with this important milestone, we have created an ideal basis on which we can build. Now we must build on the lessons learned in the last few days. We also need to further develop our joint brand at trade fairs as effectively as possible for the benefit of the industry.”.
Martin Weskamp, co-organiser of INOVA COLLECTION, adds. “With the improved infrastructure and accessibility of the new location, we have been able to generate multiple growth in the brand portfolio. Although we would like to see even more international customers among the visitors next year, it was the right step to go to Frankfurt in this format. We are particularly pleased that many exhibitors accompanied us on this trip from the very beginning and supported us. We would like to express our sincere thanks for this support. We would also like to express our gratitude for the trust they have placed in us.”.
Many exhibitors welcomed the change of venue for INOVA COLLECTION. They were pleased with the new contacts with customers and the high quality of trade visitors.
“Moving to Frankfurt and to a larger showroom was the best decision INOVA COLLECTION ever made.” As Frank Heringer, Managing Director of DiamondGroup, says.
Georg Plum, Managing Director of M&M Watches, underlines. “The exhibition is a great opportunity to give people a very good insight. “In my opinion, the exhibition has become much more comprehensive and professional with the move to Frankfurt. I miss the international character of the customers a little bit. But we were very satisfied with the quality of the trade visitors and new customers.”.
In addition, networking opportunities and a friendly environment were repeatedly highlighted. “For us, participating in the INOVA COLLECTION trade fair is like a “family reunion”. Here we meet people we have known for decades. We also get to know some potential new customers,” says Peter Barth, Operations Manager at Burger Edelmetalle. Dirk Proksch, sales director of Sternglas, says: “The highlight for me was definitely the atmosphere. You feel like you are part of a “watch and jewellery family”.”.
Christoph Paukner, CEO of PALIDO Fine Jewels, sums up. “I am delighted that we are now in the new location and congratulate the organiser on the new concept. It would be great if the industry realised that we need a “must have” autumn trade fair in Germany. And what could it be if not INOVA COLLECTION. Which has been doing an excellent job for years and should be given the respect of the visitors for that.’.
This year, INOVA COLLECTION was supported by an extensive support programme that transformed the trade fair into an interactive collective event. With important future themes such as digitalisation, the shortage of skilled workers and sustainability.
The highlight of the first day of the trade fair was the GOLDEN NOVA award ceremony. Under the motto “Jewellery of the future.
For the fifth time, young designers, students, apprentices and graduates of the individual training courses were able to apply for the junior award. Thus submitting their own meticulously crafted jewellery. A top jury of experts, including our journalistic partner Goldschmiede Zeitung, selected the ten nominations and determined the top three places for the bronze, silver and gold awards.
The competition was won by Jiayi Zhang from Vienna, who received the Golden Nova for her work “The Ring of Eternity: an ode to the future”. Jiayi Zhang also received the Audience Award and, in addition to the cash prize, may be shown in an open space during INOVA COLLECTION 2024. The silver prize was awarded to Patricia Okay Koch (Forum Goldschmiede Wien) for her ring “Vitória-Régia (Giant Water Lily)” and the Nova Gold in bronze to Stephan Günther (Staatliche Zeichenakademie Hanau) for his “Parametric Ornament Bracelet”.
The top three winners again received impressive prizes: The winners received a precious metal equivalent of EUR 1,500 from Burger Edelmetalle and shopping vouchers worth EUR 1,200 or EUR 800 respectively from Rudolf Flume Technik und der Hesse GmbH & Co. KG.
