Inside, the exhibits offer an overview of the history of technology. They start from the lab's beginnings and explore up to the most recent analytical capabilities. They even include G\u00fcbelin's other projects, the blockchain-based Provenance Proof and Gemtelligence, an artificial intelligence-based gem analysis tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The success of Gem Lab and its eventual development into a renowned institution is largely credited to the late Eduard Josef G\u00fcbelin.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The gemologist from Lucerne is considered by many to be one of the fathers of modern gemology. He is also known for his research into gemstone inclusions and the role they play in determining the identity, authenticity and origin of the stone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/veneticomagazine.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/3_Gubelin-Emerald-display.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9227\" width=\"753\" height=\"441\" srcset=\"https:\/\/veneticomagazine.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/3_Gubelin-Emerald-display.jpg 1004w, https:\/\/veneticomagazine.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/3_Gubelin-Emerald-display-300x176.jpg 300w, https:\/\/veneticomagazine.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/3_Gubelin-Emerald-display-768x450.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 753px) 100vw, 753px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">The emerald showcase is one of the many displays in the recently opened G\u00fcbelin Gemstone Museum. The museum focuses on the creation, origin and appeal of colored gemstones.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On his visits to mines around the world, the geologist collected stones. Although it was constantly growing, the initial collection of reference stones formed the basis for the Gem Lab project. It was also central to Gemtelligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The collection is the most complete of its kind in the world, according to G\u00fcbelin. Nearby, other objects and instruments from G\u00fcbelin's travels are also on display.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even along with the individual stones, it presents a selection of more than 50 watches and jewellery. He began expanding the company's watch and jewelry collection early in his career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u201cWith this museum, we want to create a vibrant forum for interaction and inspiration.\u201d As Raphael G\u00fcbelin, the current president of the G\u00fcbelin House, said.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIn the heart of Lucerne, the museum invites visitors to discover fascinating information about gems and gemology, jewellery and watches. The house's institute for professional courses and certifications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The museum is located at Schwanenplatz 7, on the top floor of the \u201cHaus zum Stein\u201d building, which aptly translates as \u201cThe House of Stones\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">G\u00fcbelin curated the museum with jewellery expert Beatriz Chadour-Sampson. She collaborates with the Swiss National Museum in Zurich and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. G\u00fcbelin organised the museum with Atelier Ingold Raschke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Edward Boehm, grandson of Eduard Josef G\u00fcbelin and himself a gemologist, contributed to
