The production was done by Maitri Lab Grown Diamonds (Maitri). The new record holder was crafted in an emerald cut with dimensions of 23.37 x 15.24 x 9.06 mm. The Type IIa rough crystal from which it was formed was grown by the chemical vapour deposition (CVD) process. Maitri will exhibit the gemstone at JCK Las Vegas, June 2-5, in booth #8123.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lab-grown diamonds have reinvigorated the jewellery industry, offering consumers an authentic, affordable alternative to mined diamonds. So according to statistician Edahn Golan, sales of individual lab-grown diamonds held a share of 13.7% in 2020. Since then, their share has almost tripled, to 33.8% in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
