With its festive character in full effect, this year\u2019s International Exhibition of Jewelry, Watches, Precious Stones, Machinery and Equipment KOSMIMA \u2013 which takes place from October 17 to 19 at stands 8, 9 and 10 \u2013 brings together 73 exhibitors compared to 65 last year, recording a 12.31% increase, while the exhibition space amounts to 1,432 square meters, up from 1,354 square meters last year (5.76%). Companies from Greece, as well as from Estonia, Bulgaria and Turkey, are participating. This year the exhibition is also accompanied by a program of invited trade visitors from Greece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alongside its commercial aspect, KOSMIMA also maintains its creative identity. The 37th Panhellenic Competition for Artistic Jewelry Design, organized by the Panhellenic Federation of Goldsmiths, Jewelers, and Watchmakers (POVAKOO) in collaboration with HELEXPO and the Athens Expo Center (ATHEX), titled \u00abVerde: The Power of Life\u00bb, was successfully concluded and the award ceremony will take place on Sunday morning, October 18th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Today's press conference<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1004\" height=\"588\" src=\"https:\/\/veneticomagazine.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/KOSMIMA-SYNENTEYXI-TYPOU.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25667\" srcset=\"https:\/\/veneticomagazine.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/KOSMIMA-SYNENTEYXI-TYPOU.jpg 1004w, https:\/\/veneticomagazine.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/KOSMIMA-SYNENTEYXI-TYPOU-300x176.jpg 300w, https:\/\/veneticomagazine.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/KOSMIMA-SYNENTEYXI-TYPOU-768x450.jpg 768w, https:\/\/veneticomagazine.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/KOSMIMA-SYNENTEYXI-TYPOU-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1004px) 100vw, 1004px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00abThe increased quantitative figures of this year's event show that the industry is using KOSMIMA as a sales tool, at an ideal time to prepare for the festive season,\u00bb noted Mr. Andreas Mavrommatis, CEO of the THESSALONIKI-HELEXPO, in a press conference today ahead of the opening of the exhibition. He emphasized that the contribution of the POBAK\u03a9 was crucial in its evolution over the years. \u00abTogether with the Federation, we developed the Athens International Jewellery Show in Athens, with which KOSMIMA serves as a conduit, as the two exhibitions share a common exhibition platform, the product of the effort and strategic initiative of THESSALONIKI-HELEXPO and the POBAK\u03a9. Also, on this anniversary we must remember that the birth of KOSMIMA was significantly influenced by the Association of Silver Goldsmiths of Thessaloniki and the Association of Watchmakers of Thessaloniki,\u00bb he pointed out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mr. Petros Kalpakiadis, President of POBAK\u03a9, described this year\u2019s KOSMIMA as dynamic, noting that the 40 events show the potential of the industry as well as the exhibition organization. \u00abThe entire industry supports KOSMIMA,\u00bb he noted, while referring to the 37th Panhellenic Competition of Artistic Jewelry Design, he announced that 10 schools participated with 38 student entries and 46 works, as well as four professional entries with an equal number of works.
