Kering has launched an award that focuses on highlighting sustainability and innovation in the jewellery industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In collaboration with the World Jewellery Confederation (CIBJO) and the scientific coordination of Poli.Design at Politenico di Milano, the \u00abKering Generation Award X Jewelry\u00bb marks the expansion of the company's awards program in recognition of sustainable actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The award will support jewellery manufacturers who demonstrate excellence in sustainable design and practice. Through the creation of an international community of young students and start-uppers eager to innovate in the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kering will also be supported by its jewellery brands - Boucheron, Pomellato and Qeelin - in this effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The prize involves an international competition between 10 world-renowned universities and academies. With courses on jewellery and sustainability, as well as start-ups already in the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each school must present at least three projects. And the students with the help of local professionals will develop the projects before presenting them to the jury.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Start-ups will present their own innovations as part of the screening process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the projects submitted, four finalists - two for the student category and two for the start-up category - will be presented to the jury next June 2025 at JCK, one of the jewellery industry's biggest trade events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
