The Cannes Film Festival is a fortnight overflowing with red carpets and extravagant dresses and jewellery. Marion Fasel is a long-time critic of all those who climb the famous stairs at the Auditorium Louis Lumi\u00e8re. It's where so many of the stars officially announce their presence. The styles that stand out include something that seems a little different and unexpected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Check out the looks below from the first three days of Cannes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meryl Streep<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Meryl Streep was in Cannes to receive the award for her life's work. The legendary actress showed how to shine on the red carpet and maintain your own personality. In a white Dior wrap dress and giant crystal, diamond, enamel and onyx earrings by Hanut Singh from Fred Leighton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jane Fonda <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Jane Fonda also showed how to look dynamic and very much herself on the Cannes red carpet. With an Elie Saab beaded pants and a leopard print coat that was lit up by Pomellato diamond jewels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anya Taylor-Joy<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Anya Taylor-Joy did not cosplay her role in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. But instead, she went the route of old Hollywood glamour. In a beige Dior beaded dress and a diamond and platinum Tiffany Blue Book necklace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the jewelry looks familiar, you may remember it from when Florence Pugh wore it at the 2023 Oscars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eva Green<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

French actress Eva Green is a member of the Cannes jury. So she topped off the look of her giant yellow Chopard diamond earrings with some delicate gold studded earrings in her piercings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Greta Gerwig<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Oversized diamond Chanel star jewels brought to life the black sequined Chanel piece worn by Cannes jury president Greta Gerwig on the red carpet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The necklace is based on the original collection of fine jewellery launched by Coco Chanel in 1932.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aubrey Plaza<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The curves of the Piaget Luxuriant Oasis necklace with emeralds and diamonds and the earrings worn by Aubrey Plaza created a beautiful sense of movement. While the pieces are new creations from the house. They also had a vintage feel that matched her white Loewe dress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chloe Fineman<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
