The Athens International Jewellery Show was completed with an increase of 22% visitors compared to the previous edition. In fact, the visitors came from 12 countries. Specifically, Egypt, Albania, Algeria, Australia, Bulgaria, Bulgaria, USA, India, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Great Britain and Greece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year's exhibition, which took place from 23 to 26 February at the Metropolitan Expo, was considered to be of high quality by the exhibitors. They have already expressed their interest in participating again in the next one. There were even new inquiries from companies that did not participate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Athens International Jewellery Show hosted a total of 370 exhibitors (direct and indirect). Among them were the largest companies in the jewellery, watches and gemstones industry. Of the 370 exhibitors, 240 direct exhibitors came from Greece, Italy, Cyprus, Turkey, India, Germany, Belgium and Estonia, while the indirect exhibitors numbered 130.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Within the framework of this year's exhibition, the DESIGN SECTION was held for the third consecutive year. With the participation of Greek designers, which highlighted the Greek design dynamics of the industry. There was also a programme of invited foreign trade visitors from Malta, Belgium, North Macedonia and the United Kingdom with business meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, in the framework of the parallel events of the exhibition, the short film about Greek jewellery and its history entitled \u00abLOVE IN THE MAKING\u00bb premiered. An artful cinematic \u00abjourney\u00bb through the history of Greek jewellery, 9 minutes long. The film was created by the Panhellenic Federation of Craftsmen of Silversmiths and Jewellers (POVAKO). In fact, the screening of the short film, which left a very good impression, was introduced by the President of the Greek National Tourism Organisation, Ms Angela Gerekou, who gave a guided tour of the Athens International Jewellery Show. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also of great interest were the other parallel events with speakers who were experts in gemology-damantology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the last day of the event POVAKO drew a gold coin crafted by the Federation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
