The Pantone Color Institute presented \u201cVery Peri\u201d as the colour of the year for 2022. A blue with a violet-red tint that signifies courage and creativity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This colour is presented as the most cheerful and warm of all blue shades. It has a sense of modernity associated with today's landscape. The pandemic has greatly influenced the way we live and work. It has put up barriers and in many cases forced people to think more creatively. Pantone highlighted the period of isolation that people are coming out of. Concepts and patterns are changing through the constant merging of physical and digital life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are moving in a world of unprecedented change. The selection of Pantone 17-3938 Very Peri brings a new perspective and vision to the trusted and beloved blue colour family.\u201d So said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt includes the properties of blue. At the same time it has a violet-red tinge. Very Peri displays a lively, joyful mood and a dynamic presence. It also encourages courageous creativity and expression.\u201d.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

According to Laurie Pressman, vice president of the Pantone Color Institute, the Pantone Color of the Year reflects global developments and cultural changes. It also helps express people's desires. For 2022, Pantone has created a new color - for the first time in the history of the Color of the Year program - to signify global innovations and transformations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is the digital rise that has particularly excited Pantone. With the organisation stating that the continued growth of digital design has enabled the creation of new virtual worlds. These have thus allowed for the exploration and creation of new colour possibilities. Also the trends in gaming, the growth of the metaverse and the digitalisation of art. These are highlighted by Pantone as a demonstration of colour trends. All of these are merging from the digital world into the physical, starting with Very Peri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSociety continues to recognize color as a critical form of communication. Still as a way of expressing and affecting ideas, emotions, engagement and connection. Also the complexity of this new blue hue enriched with red-violet highlights the extensive possibilities that exist,\u201d added Pressman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2000, Pantone has been announcing the top colour of the year. As a reminder, the colours for 2021 were Ultimate Gray and Cheerful Yellow, while for 2020 the company had voted for Royal Blue.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
