Jewellery designers and retailers are offering new collections and specially created pieces this October. They aim to support organizations that help women affected by breast cancer and raise awareness of breast cancer screening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lorraine West with Greenwich St. Jewelers, Lisa \u201cLele\u201d Sadoughi and Gorjana Reidel are among them. They are partnering with charities to showcase jewelry in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The color of which is pink.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jane Win founder Jane Winchester Paradis says this annual effort is one way her brand seeks to foster community among its customers. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The company is sharing breast cancer survivor stories on its website throughout October. It also reissued the Share the Love pendant - with a bright sun on the front and the words love, courage, and strength on the back. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paradis says Jane Win will donate 20% of the sale price of the necklace to the Breast Cancer Alliance (BCA). \u201cIt makes me so happy to see our fashion world bathed in pink in October,\u201d she says. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOf course I love the currency, but the marketing around it is my favourite part. I thought another way we could help, besides donating money, was to tell stories. Stories of how our clients, our community, have been impacted by breast cancer. The hope is that by sharing, as a tip from a trusted friend, we can help our community.\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women after skin cancer. It is also the second most common cause of cancer mortality.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to the American Cancer Society (ACS), which helped create Breast Cancer Awareness Month to encourage women to get regular mammograms. Breast cancer death rates have been falling steadily since 1989, with an overall reduction of 43% by 2020. Partly due to early diagnosis and increased awareness, the American Cancer Society (ACS) said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here are a few other jewelers who are raising awareness and money in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Greenwich St. Jewelers will donate 20% of the proceeds from the collection Nipple<\/a>. The collection includes earrings, bracelets and rings in 14-carat gold. Proceeds will be donated to Living Beyond Breast Cancer. A non-profit organization that provides resources, empowerment and connection to women affected by breast cancer, particularly in marginalized communities.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The collector's collection<\/a> includes a headband with jewelry. The headband features a handmade enamel brooch hand sewn next to pink crystals. Matching headbands \u201cmini and me\u201d in hot pink. And finally our newest accessory, the awareness ribbon, says Sadoughi. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
