Beyoncé's stylist, London Jewelers and the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) were among those Diamonds Do Good (DDG) honored for their contributions to the industry.
DDG has presented the Diamond Influence Award to Shiona Turini, Beyoncé's stylist. For her contribution to the shaping and influence of diamonds in the art world, it announced last week. DDG held the awards ceremony at the JCK show in Las Vegas. The exhibition ran from May 31 to June 3.
Other recipients included GIA and luxury retailer London Jewelers. Also the managing director of Ben Bridge Jewelers, Lisa Bridge. The awards recognised their work in implementing policies and programmes that show the link between being a successful business, having a social purpose and caring for the community, DDG explained.
Designers, retailers, industry players and celebrity influencers attended the sold-out event. Including jewelry designers Neil Lane and Meredith Marks, who is also a cast member of the reality show Real Housewives. DDG raised an additional $50,000 through the sale of bracelets designed by Gabriel & Co. specifically for the event.
The group will use the proceeds from the event to provide educational and business scholarships to young people living in the natural diamond regions, he added.
