This increase, combined with the satisfaction expressed by exhibitors for this year's upgraded image of the exhibition, predicts even greater interest in KOSMIMA 2025.
Foreign trade visitors also increased significantly compared to last year. They came from Albania, Australia, Belgium, Belgium, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Spain, Cyprus. Also from Malta, Serbia, France, Germany, Georgia, Switzerland, USA, India, Kosovo, Montenegro, Great Britain and Turkey.
The number of exhibitors at this year's event was 69, 35% more than in 2023, coming from Greece and abroad. Specifically from Germany, Armenia, Turkey, Italy, Bulgaria, Cyprus and Lebanon. While firms from Italy, Switzerland, Turkey, Ireland, Belgium, France and Japan were also indirectly represented. Also, KOSMIMA was visited by an organized delegation from Bulgaria with 20 trade visitors. The exhibition space occupied by the exhibition (+23%) was also increased, reflecting the significant demand, but also the importance of KOSMIMA in the silversmithing sector.
In the framework of KOSMIMA, the 35th Panhellenic Jewellery Design Competition was also organized. The theme was «Pearl, A Journey from the Yesterday of Tradition to the Tomorrow of Innovation». Organized by the Panhellenic Federation of Craftsmen, Jewellers, Jewellers, Watchmakers (POVAKO) in cooperation with TIF-HELEXPO. The impressive works of the contestants were exhibited during the exhibition.
The attendance at the parallel events of the event was also significant. In particular, the presentation «Exploring the pearl-15 years of progress» by Ms. Melanie Georgacopoulos, a successful jewelry designer with international recognition. But also in the speech «Silversmithing in Ioannina: a narrative» by Mrs. Katerini Liampi. Professor Emeritus of Ancient Greek History and President of the Society of Continental Studies.
The next «rendezvous» with jewellery will take place in Athens at the Athens International Jewellery Show, between 21-24 February 2025.
