Sorellina's newest addition to the «Playlist» collection focuses on the music of Jimi Hendrix. His lyrics inspire the motifs at the heart of «Electric Dreams».
Sorellina launched the sequel to last year's «Playlist» collection. But the new collection, titled «Electric Dreams», focuses on a different musician.
For «Playlist: Electric Dreams», the designers turned to Jimi Hendrix and Electric Lady Studios. The famous New York recording studio was commissioned by the artist in 1968. As the muse of the new pendants, charms, necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings.
The collection focuses on the Hendrix song «Little Wing». As it transforms its poetic lyricism and dreamlike imagery into exquisite jewelry. Jewellery with delicate feathers, celestial patterns and vibrant hues.
«It captures the raw energy, ethereal beauty and boundless creativity that defined an era of musical revolution». As the label stated.
«Jimmy Hendrix was not just a musician. He was a force of nature, but also a poet who painted with sound,» said Nicole Carosella, co-founder of Sorellina.
«With Electric Dreams, we wanted to translate the same transcendence into jewellery. Something that gives the feeling of being as limitless yet expressive as its music.».
The brand also unveiled new leather laces, with the signature Sorellina clasps that «bring a fresh, rock and roll touch to the range. They offer a modern yet timeless way to wear these musical amulets,» the brand said.
The Playlist: Electric Dreams collection debuted earlier this month at Couture and was released on Sorellina's website on June 17.
It is an evolution of the original collection, which focused on David Bowie and his character, Ziggy Stardust. The main piece was the «Cassette Tape» pendant , which won the Couture Design Award 2024 in the «Best in Innovation» category.
With the new Electric Dreams pieces, Sorellina said those who wear them can «experience the magic of Hendrix through a new medium - a medium that shines, shines and tells a story in exquisite detail.».
The full Playlist collection is available on Sorellina's website.
