Continuing the presentation of the creators who staffed this year's AIJ Design Section, in this third and final part we present four designers.

Eros Psyche

Maria Apostolopoulou and Nikos Karakostas are the creators behind EROS-PSYCHE, the Greek workshop that has linked its name to the high art of precious stone engraving and innovative jewelry design. Based in the historic center of Athens with a presence of decades in the field of silversmithing and goldsmithing, their work constantly moves between art, history, and contemporary creation.

Coming from backgrounds in painting and cinema, they were led to jewelry by a deep inner need for creation and expression. For them, handmade jewelry is a form of art that speaks essentially to the human soul, with the creator acting as a «mediator» between beauty and humanity. Through precious metals and engraved stones, they create collector's pieces where ancient engraving techniques meet modern practices and innovative methods they have been developing for decades. Their inspiration is drawn from mythology, philosophy, architecture, and life itself.

Against the trends of the times that choose quick fixes and easy procedures, they themselves follow extremely time-consuming and demanding practices. As they state, the most powerful moment of creation is when the piece of jewelry is completed and its “magic” is revealed before their eyes. Their jewelry is available through selected jewelry stores, museums, cultural organizations, and galleries in Greece and abroad, while their collectible works are also presented through auctions and museum exhibitions.

Their relationship with A-I-J-S spans decades, as they have participated in the exhibition since the beginning of their journey. In recent years, they have actively supported the development of the Design Section, with the aim of creating a curated platform for contemporary Greek jewelry modeled after major international events.

As EROS-PSYCHE, they are not limited merely to participation, but also contribute substantially with proposals and experience, deeply believing in the potential of Greek design and the importance of collectively strengthening the industry.

The thought of Greek handmade jewelry brings to mind a small workshop, where human hands remain the soul of creation and traditional techniques survive through the dedication, craftsmanship, and love of the people of jewelry. For them, these workshops are living cultural treasures that deserve to be protected and to continue transmitting their cultural value through time.

Dimitra Fotou

Dimitra Fotou is the creator behind the Athens-based brand Dimitra Fotou Jewelry. Her relationship with jewelry began in 2013, and since 2018 she has pursued the path of design and manufacturing professionally, thereby transforming her inner need for creation and expression into a personal artistic identity.

She creates jewelry from silver and 14K and 18K gold, using precious and semi-precious stones such as diamonds, sapphires, and pearls. Her inspiration stems primarily from nature, art, cultures, and the power of simplicity—elements that are reflected in the clean lines and modern aesthetics of her creations.

Her favorite moment in the production process is the design and the search for how a piece of jewelry can be produced while perfectly maintaining its aesthetics and finish.

Her first participation in AIJS took place this winter. She views the exhibition as an important opportunity for new collaborations, professional contacts, and meaningful connections with industry people. For her, every exhibition is another step of evolution for her brand and collections, with the goal of their gradual establishment over time.

Butterflyfish

Santhi is the creator behind the brand Butterflyfish, a contemporary handmade jewelry project that connects memory, tradition, and modern aesthetic expression. Based in Pallini, Attica, and with over twenty years of involvement in jewelry making, she creates pieces with character, purity, and timelessness.

Butterflyfish, as she herself describes, was born through memories and images of women's hands patiently and carefully creating jewelry, passing down techniques and stories from generation to generation.

Through this connection with the past, she creates handmade jewelry that combines the traditional “knot-by-knot” technique with a more contemporary aesthetic approach. She mainly uses semi-precious stones, natural materials, and metallic elements, drawing inspiration from memories, female figures of the past and present, the geometry of nature, and the relationship between structure and harmony. For her, the most beautiful moment is when the jewelry “comes together” and takes on a life of its own through the materials and the thread. However, completion comes when it is worn by a woman and becomes part of her personal story.

This year's AIJS marked Butterflyfish's first participation, as the brand was created just a year ago. For Santhi, the exhibition served as a meaningful experience for exchanging ideas, drawing inspiration, and making connections surrounding Greek handmade jewelry and its contemporary evolution.

Butterflyfish jewelry is hosted in selected stores and pop-up events throughout Greece, while when she thinks of Greek handmade jewelry, authenticity, the creator's personal stamp, and a deep connection to the history, light, and aesthetics of Greece come to mind. Greek handmade jewelry has a soul; it is a vehicle of culture, memory, and contemporary expression.

Austri Crux

Andreas is the creator behind the brand Austri Crux, a name inspired by the constellation of the Southern Cross, which since antiquity has served as a compass for travelers. In the same way, he views creation as a personal compass of expression and exploration. For the past nine years, he has been active in Athens, choosing to communicate through the art of jewelry.

His creations revolve mainly around unique pieces, made of silver, gold, and precious or semi-precious stones. His inspiration is born through observation, of both the external and the internal world. For him, jewelry is not merely an object, but an art form that is completed the moment it is worn. That is why functionality is an integral part of his creative process, perhaps even the most important one.

What fascinates him the most is watching an initial thought gradually transform through the process of creation. The limitations, changes, and difficulties that arise until a piece of jewelry takes its final form are, for him, the most essential and beautiful part of the journey. As he says, he often feels more like a medium of creation than the creator.

His jewelry is hosted in selected partner physical stores, and samples of his work can be discovered through Instagram, and soon via the website as well.

These were the creators who made up this year's Design Section at the Athens International Jewelry Show. People with different paths, aesthetics, and philosophies, each trying in their own way to keep alive an art with deep history and cultural value. Katerina Klonaridou

Starting from Thessaloniki and with deep roots in the family tradition of goldsmithing, Katerina Klonaridou grew up inside the workshop established by her father in 1985. Her relationship with jewelry naturally evolved into a continuous need for creation and expression, while after her studies in silversmithing and goldsmithing, she dedicated herself to the design and development of the art of jewelry. In 2013, she took over the family workshop. Later, in 2020, she created her own identity, Katerina.K, presenting collections with one-of-a-kind and limited-edition creations.

Her inspiration stems, as she told us, from nature, mythology, and ancient civilizations, creating jewelry from silver, gold, and gemstones. Her creations move between art and geometry.

With the core collections “Art in Different Style” and “Geometry in Different Style”. Using silver, gold, precious, and synthetic stones. For her, every metal and every stone carries its own symbolism and its own story. Her favorite moment remains the design process. When images and ideas begin to take shape on the workbench. Her jewelry is presented in exhibitions in Greece and abroad, through the brand Katerina.K.

For the past two years, he has participated in the Design Section of the Athens International Jewelry Show, an institution he considers important for the promotion of contemporary Greek jewelry. Although he recognizes the difficulties currently faced by the sector, he believes that the exhibition has the potential to stand equally alongside major European events, provided that greater space and more substantial promotion are given to Greek designers and Greek design.

IF Project

Ioanna Faga is the person behind the IF project. Born and raised in Crete, where her workshop is still located today, she studied Interior Architecture in Athens and pursued postgraduate studies at the Glasgow School of Art. Her creative journey began in the field of furniture and small-scale objects before she turned entirely to jewelry.

Her brand was created out of the need to build her own creative world through jewelry that combines aesthetics, functionality, and personal expression.

Her collections consist mainly of 925 sterling silver and brass, while she uses enamel and nanoceramic coatings to add color and unique textures to her creations.

She describes how, from a young age, she loved small-scale manufacturing and the process through which an object comes to life. What continues to fascinate her about jewelry is the ability to become part someone's daily life. To be worn, to acquire memories, and personal significance over time. Her creations draw strong Greek influences. Through images and elements that carry a sense of summer, travel, Greek culture, as well as the everyday events that touch her.

Her participation in AIJS is a particularly important experience for her, as she sees it as a meeting place for people who truly love jewelry and creation. Through the exhibition, she gains contacts, new acquaintances, and inspiration, while she considers it very important that there is a space for contemporary Greek design and young creators who strive to express themselves through their work.

Since 2019, she has been actively participating in trade fairs, presenting her collections to the public and industry professionals. Her jewellery is available in stores across almost every part of Greece and, shortly, through her website. For Ioanna, hearing the phrase «Greek handmade jewellery» brings to mind words such as tradition, textures, childhood years, as well as the unique Greek word "meraki".

Tania Drakidou

Tania Drakidou, born in Chalkida and now based in central Athens, has been active in the field of jewelry design and craftsmanship for 23 years. Her love for creation began at a very young age. Her primary motivation is not only the creation of an object but also the emotion of the moment—the moment someone chooses to wear a piece of her personal art.

Her creations draw inspiration from the Mediterranean style, timeless jewelry, and ancient civilizations. Elements combined with a modern aesthetic and handcrafted detail. She works with gold, silver, diamonds, gemstones, and mineral carvings, choosing the materials each time according to the inspiration, form, and era she wishes to express through the jewelry.

For her, the most powerful moment in the creative process is the conception of the idea and its realization into a handmade object. But also the moment of acceptance, when the jewelry is placed in shop windows and connects with its audience.

For the past three years, she has been participating in the Athens International Jewelry Show, viewing the event as an important opportunity to promote Greek handmade jewelry both in Greece and abroad. Her collections are hosted in shops on the Greek islands as well as in selected locations throughout Greece, while her primary desire remains to promote Greek culture and the art and civilization of the country through the people who choose her jewelry.

Pavlina Verouki

Pavlina Verouki is a visual artist, jewelry designer, and maker, based in downtown Athens. Her workshop is located in Santarosa Square, opposite the Rex Theatre and overlooking the Book's Arcade.

Her relationship with jewelry began in 2003, during her studies at the Athens School of Fine Arts. When she started working as a design assistant in jewelry workshops, simultaneously learning the art of goldsmithing. Upon completing her postgraduate studies in Fine Arts in the Netherlands, she continued to explore goldsmithing. Thus, in 2014, her own brand was born.

As she describes it, she fell in love with the sound of the hammer. As well as the flaming metal and the color of silver, the material she primarily works with in her creations. Her artistic expression, however, is not limited to jewelry, as she is also involved in painting, watercolors, and etching, organically transferring the forms and imagery of her visual works into her jewelry as well. Her favorite moment remains the one where a new collection suddenly begins to take shape in her mind.

Over the last two years, she has participated in the Athens International Jewelry Show, gaining new partnerships as well as a meaningful exchange of ideas and experiences with other creators. Her work is hosted in selected venues in Greece, such as the Theocharakis Foundation and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, as well as through the website pavlinaverouki.gr. When she thinks of Greek handmade jewelry, two words come to mind: quality and imagination.

Tsika Revoluta

Behind the brand are Natasa and Phaedon, two creators who entered the world of handmade jewelry relatively recently, coming from different artistic backgrounds. Based in Athens and starting from fine arts, photography, and image-making, they began exploring jewelry more as a means of creative expression rather than a strictly structured professional path.

Natasha’s journey into jewelry design began almost by chance, when she accompanied a friend to some silversmithing and goldsmithing workshops. As she describes it, she was “hooked” from the moment she finished her first piece of jewelry and saw an idea take shape through her own hands. Largely self-taught, she devoted herself to personal research and endless hours of work at her workbench, especially during the quarantine period. She primarily creates silver jewelry with gemstones or liquid glass, often allowing the material itself to guide the jewelry’s form. Her favorite stage remains the finishing process—the moment when the piece is completed and reveals its true character.

Their participation in AIJS was more of a first introduction to the professional world of exhibitions and wholesale, through which they gained experiences, connections, and a clearer picture of how they want to evolve as a brand. Although they felt that the exhibition environment did not entirely fit their own more independent and modern approach, they view the momentum developing around new handmade projects and creator communities positively.

Today, they continue to gradually evolve their brand through social media, participation in markets, and new collaborations, remaining close to a more authentic and personal approach to handmade jewelry.

You might have passed by it without noticing. Perhaps because it was located a bit further back from the main pulse of the exhibition. Perhaps because Greek handmade jewelry often seems not to be in the spotlight it truly deserves. Yet, in recent years, the Design Section of the Athens International Jewelry Show has begun to carve out its own distinct space within the event. Bringing to the fore people who continue to create, experiment, and keep alive an art with a deep history in Greece.

In an era where mass production dominates, the world abroad is increasingly turning toward the authentic, the handmade—the object that carries history and a human imprint. And yet, while Greece possesses a vast tradition in silversmithing and goldsmithing, great artisans, and techniques passed down from generation to generation, we often seem to forget the potential of this cultural capital. We could perhaps have jewelry as a reference point for our country, just as the Swiss have watchmaking. Instead, we see valuable know-how and years of handmade techniques risking being lost, as fewer and fewer young people choose to follow this path.

And perhaps that is why it is worth lingering a bit longer on these creators. Because behind every bench, there is not simply a brand or a jewelry collection. There are people trying to keep an art alive. A creative process and an entire culture that continues to evolve over time.

These are the creators who staffed this year's Design Section of AIJS. People with different backgrounds, aesthetics, and philosophies. Who every year give a new character and a new identity to this part of the exhibition. Proving that contemporary Greek handmade jewelry still has a lot to say.

In this first part, we present three designers. There will be two more parts.

Maria Psarianou

Maria Psarianou lives and creates in Thessaloniki, having dedicated almost three decades to handmade jewelry. Her journey began in 1995, initially as a handmade jewelry instructor at the Mokume school, while her personal workshop now boasts 26 years of creative presence.

A central element of her work is the pearl, a material she considers alive, timeless, and full of character. Combined with gold and silver, she creates jewelry that balances between elegance and naturalness. For her, the most powerful moment of the process is when an idea is born in the mind and gradually begins to take shape through her hands.

For the past three years, she has been participating in the Designer Section of AJA, a space that she hopes will continue to be supported by both the organization and the people in the jewelry industry. She believes that this specific part of the exhibition has the potential to evolve into an essential meeting point for contemporary Greek jewelry and its creators.

Her creations are hosted in jewelry stores and galleries in Greece and Europe, while she believes that Greek handmade jewelry, through the strength and talent of its creators, can become an essential cultural pillar for the country, provided it receives the support and recognition it deserves from the Greek state.

Maria Fotopoulou

Maria Fotopoulou has been active in the jewelry field since 2000, having completed her studies in Greece, Italy, and England. Based in Thessaloniki, where her workshop is located, she is engaged in jewelry design and manufacturing, while concurrently teaching design and construction techniques at public and private educational institutions since 2003.

Her creative process is born through the observation and interpretation of nature. She constantly experiments with different techniques and raw materials, such as gold, silver, precious stones, and pearls, transferring organic forms and dynamic natural shapes into her creations. Through processes based on the control of pressure and temperature, she often allows the material itself to function autonomously, enabling textures and forms to be born naturally before being transformed into jewelry.

For her, this relationship between control and the freedom of matter constitutes an essential part of the creation as well as the evolution of her collections. Her creations maintain a calm, organic aesthetic, where nature and material seem to coexist harmoniously.

For the past three years, she has been participating in the Design Section of the Athens International Jewelry Show, while her jewelry is hosted in galleries and selected stores.

Lefteris Margaritis

Lefteris Margaritis has been active in the jewelry field since 1996, having built a long-standing career combining design, manufacturing, and creative direction in high jewelry. A graduate of applied arts and the MOKUME school, he founded his personal workshop in 2004 in the center of Athens, where to this day he creates jewelry with a strong aesthetic identity and timeless character.

Over the years, he has collaborated with major brands in Greece and abroad, while having held positions such as General Manager, Product Manager, and Exclusive Designer in well-known companies within the Greek jewelry market. At the same time, his work has stood out in jewelry design competitions, and his entries have also been featured in major international design and contemporary jewelry exhibitions.

His creations revolve around gold, diamonds, and precious stones. With the primary goal of expressing the personal style, aesthetics, and emotion of the wearer, his design balances classic elegance with contemporary aesthetics, creating jewelry with a strong character yet timelessness.

His jewelry is available through selected stores in Greece and abroad. Meanwhile, when he thinks of Greek handmade jewelry, art, culture, and tradition come to his mind in a continuous dialogue with contemporary design.

With Panagiotis we didn't just talk about jewelry.

We talked about the burden but also the beauty of taking over a family business of almost 50 years and trying to give it your own direction without losing its identity.

About the anxiety of continuing to invest in a constantly changing market, for the moment you realize that the model you knew is no longer viable. But also about that need that people who truly love what they do have to keep going even when everything around them tells them to “play it safe.”.

And just like that, the conversation about jewelry eventually ended up being a conversation about evolution.

The company that grew up with him

The history of the Varsakis company begins almost half a century ago.

Panagiotis's father, Mr. Vasilis, entered the field as a child, already working in workshops from the age of 13-14, until around his 20s he decided to start out on his own.

The company started with handmade jewelry, like almost all Greek businesses of that era. For many years, the foundation was the cross—a piece of jewelry deeply connected to the Greek market and an entire era. Afterward, other categories followed: children's jewelry, women's jewelry, and more collections.

«Like all Greek small businesses, we had to evolve to survive,» Panagiotis says characteristically.

He literally grew up inside the workshop. He was there during the summers since he was a child. From the age of 18 he started getting actively involved, and by 22 work became his entire daily routine. And although many take it for granted that children in a family business are “pressured” to continue, he makes it clear that he never felt anything of the sort.

«My father had told me “whatever you want to do.” I chose it myself because I loved this job.»

However, that does not mean it doesn't carry weight. Because when you take over something that has existed for decades, you can't just come in and change everything.

«You must respect what you have inherited. To listen, to learn, and then slowly add your own touch.»

And somewhere around there he speaks perhaps with the greatest esteem for his father. Not just for what he built. But because he gave him space.

«It’s not easy to have built something your whole life and then step back for someone else to continue it in their own way. I truly take my hat off to him for that.’

«If I knew then what I know today…»

Although she entered the field very early, today she says that if she could turn back time, she would do some things differently. Not because she thinks she took the wrong path. But because she now understands how important specialization in jewelry is.

He wished he had studied gemstones more, perhaps having earned a degree in gemology or spent time in Italy for design.

«The more I get involved with high-end jewelry, the more I understand how important this knowledge is.»

And it is something that, as he says, he would advise his own children to do as well if at some point they want to get into the business. Nevertheless, he believes that his studies in economics helped him a lot too.

The turn to 18K and the need for evolution

In recent years, the company has made a quite dynamic shift toward high-end jewelry and 18K collections with precious stones. Not because it was easy. But because it felt that is where it truly wanted to go.

«Since I was young, when I went to exhibitions abroad and saw such jewelry, I knew that at some point I wanted to get involved with this.»

And while the decision may not have been easy at all from a business perspective, for him it was the only way.

«I don't like stagnation. If you don't try, you will never know.»

This new direction did not happen by chance. There were people from abroad who helped him better understand the logic of the international luxury jewelry market and find his footing.

And just like that, a new collection began to take shape that is constantly evolving.

«Every year there is a huge difference. And every month many new designs come out.»

At the same time, however, the company already had a strong presence abroad. Nearly 40% of its production is currently exported to markets such as England, Cyprus, the United States, Canada, and Dubai. And this, he says, speaks volumes both about Greek craftsmanship and the quality of Greek jewelry.

Contemporary Greek jewelry has changed

One of the most interesting parts of the chat was when the discussion turned to the changes that have taken place in recent years around jewelry and the way people view it now.

The cross, the wedding band, and all that very traditional part that dominated for decades, as he says, has started to decline. Today, people are looking for something more personal. Something that expresses them. Something that carries a story or a symbolism. That is why we are seeing more and more custom jewelry and more unique pieces.

At the same time, however, he believes that contemporary Greek jewelry must also retain something “Greek” within it. A color. A light. A feeling.

And that is somewhat where his great weakness comes in: sapphires. To the question of what your favorite gemstone is, the answer came instantly.

«These vibrant royal blue ones remind me so much of Greece. Sea, summer, light.»

Perhaps that is why colored gemstones fascinate him so much. Because, as he says, no two are exactly alike. Each stone has its own character. And that is somewhat how most designs are born as well. Not starting from the piece of jewelry. But from the stone itself.

«I see a stone and on it I begin to build the whole piece of jewelry.»

«In handmade jewelry we have nothing to envy»

When the conversation turned to Greek know-how, Panagiotis was absolute.

«In handmade jewelry, we have nothing to envy.»

And he says this without a trace of exaggeration. Because he believes that Greek craftsmen possess a knowledge that is hard to find elsewhere. What is lacking is not quality. It is the production volumes and specialization that exist abroad.

«There are companies that produce only one component. Only clasps, only beads, only specific jewelry parts. We in Greece do not have such volumes.»

Nevertheless, almost all of the company's jewelry is made within the workshop itself. And this is something she considers very important.

Even in the rare cases where some pieces come from abroad, such as rivieres, the final finishing and completion are done here. Quality, after all, is something he does not compromise on.

«I will never use lower-quality stones just to make the piece of jewelry more affordable.»

And yet, today's greatest anxiety is neither prices nor the market. It is the artisans. Or rather the fact that they are slowly disappearing.

«People who truly know the art of jewelry are now getting old and leaving production. And unfortunately, we don't see young people easily entering this field.»

And that is where the conversation takes on a different weight. Because you realize that he is not simply talking about a job. He is talking about an art that he fears might be lost.

«The art of jewelry is not only machines or production. It is hand, it is eye, it is years of experience.»

Reports, market image, and the need to stand out

In recent years, the company has also invested heavily in its image. A prime example was the new booth it presented at recent exhibitions. Not only for aesthetic reasons, but because, as it says, when you present such a unique piece of jewelry, it requires a corresponding environment.

«You cannot present such a high-quality piece of jewelry in an impersonal setup.»

Nevertheless, he believes that the overall picture of exhibitions and the market has changed a lot.

«Regardless of the numbers being announced, I feel that year after year fewer and fewer people are coming.»

And perhaps this phrase sums up the entire climate of the era. A market more pressured. More cautious. More difficult.

«The only thing that gives me strength is that I truly love what I do»

Toward the end of the chat, the discussion inevitably turned to the present day. To how the way people consume has changed. To how a gold piece of jewelry has now become a much more difficult purchase for the average person.

And there Panagiotis makes a comparison that perhaps says more than it seems.

«Today someone might spend 1500€ on a phone that will be replaced in just one to two years, but they will hardly spend the same amount of money on a piece of jewelry that can last a lifetime.»

And yet, he believes that there are still people looking for something substantial. Something with a history. Something unique. And somewhere along the way, the conversation becomes more personal.

Why when I ask him if there are moments when all this gets him down, the answer comes without a second thought.

«Many times.»

And what does he do then? He goes to the warehouse. He looks at the stones. And he begins to imagine designs.

«Designing is something that relaxes me a lot. That's where I remember why I love this job so much.»

And perhaps, in the end, that is the most important thing you take away from this conversation.

That in an uncertain era where everything changes rapidly, there are still people who continue to build things by taking risks, because they truly love them and believe in them.

And this shows.

Buddha Mama butterfly necklace

Earlier this week, the world of country music lost an irreplaceable legendary figure. Singer-songwriter, actress, businesswoman, and philanthropist Dolly Parton passed away on Tuesday at the age of 80, following a brief battle with cancer.

Parton, who self-identified as a « rhinestone girl», was known all over the world for her sparkly clothes. As well as her high heels and gravity-defying wigs.

Undoubtedly, she possessed high-quality jewelry that held personal significance for her. But her public image left little room, nor much need, for high-end jewelry.

Guitarist and songwriter Carlos Santana, a ten-time Grammy and three-time Latin Grammy winner, partnered with LMC Creations to create the Santana Now jewelry brand.

Santana Now was developed in collaboration with LMN Creations, a jewelry consulting firm founded by Noreen Paris. Noreen held leadership positions at Tiffany & Co., David Yurman, and John Hardy.

Santana collaborated directly with Paris to create jewelry that translates his message of peace and unity, as well as spiritual connection, into wearable and accessible designs.

«Jewelry, much like music, carries energy and tells a story. Where spirit meets beauty, and every piece bears a frequency of intention,» Santana stated.

The brand was created to be a lifestyle movement that promotes its values. So that fans can wear its message and live its meaning, according to the announcement.

The brand's first collection is titled «Unidad», which means «unity» in Spanish.

It includes symbolic motifs such as peace symbols, sacred geometry, butterflies, and cross-cultural iconography.

The 67 pieces in the collection include necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings made of 925 sterling silver and 14-karat yellow gold. They are available with or without diamonds and gemstones.

Some pieces also incorporate certified wood from the 1969 Woodstock stage, which can be identified on the label by the peace symbol.

The wood from the stage will also be used in the design of higher-end pieces and limited-edition collections in the future, out of respect for the material, as its quantity is limited, the brand stated.

Santana played on the second day of the historic festival, closing the performance that catapulted the band to fame with «Soul Sacrifice»—a track that would soon be included on the band's debut album, which reached number four on the US Billboard 200 when it was released about two weeks after the event, according to the Woodstock Museum.

Santana continued to win. 10 Grammy Awards and three Latin Grammys.

The event will take place on the weekend of August 8 and 9, 2026, at the Cultural Center of Stemnitsa.

The event will honor half a century of the historic School's uninterrupted educational presence and contribution. This is an institution that keeps intangible cultural heritage alive by connecting traditional metalwork with contemporary creation. On the sidelines of the two-day conference, Nikos Kaltziotis, an Arcadian, former New Democracy MP for Arcadia, and former Deputy Minister of Education (1980–1981), will be honored. He was the person who contributed to the integration of the Stemnitsa School into the Ministry of Education. Additionally, a tribute will be paid to its inspirer and teacher, Labis Katsoulis.
