The bows are coming back.

An integral part of fashion for millennia, bows are making a successful return to jewellery, says Amanda Gizzi.

Imaginative, fluid and functional, bows are the finishing touch to gifts and have been an integral part of fashion for millennia.

Recent fashion shows and red carpet events have shown that bows are now more than just accents. So they are taking centre stage and making bold sartorial statements.

Looking back at the times gone by, we know that jewellery with bows was an important design element for jewellery designers. The bow can be a symbol of promise, grace and empowerment.

These ideals are just a few of the reasons why bow jewellery is a style to embrace again.

Here is a series of designs that show how bows can wrap our emotions in a beautiful piece of jewellery.
