Renani Jewels, in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India, has been awarded by Guinness World Records for its Srinika bracelet watch. Srinika was awarded for “the most diamonds set in a watch”.
Inspired by ancient Indian mythology, the watch weighs 373,030 grams. It contains 54.70 carats of diamonds, all in E or F colour and VVS-VS clarity.
There are also 12 black diamonds on the dial, a 0.72 carat D/VVS solitaire and 113 natural blue sapphires.
Srinika is the flower in the heart of Lord Vishnu, one of the main deities of Hinduism. It also means Lakshmi, the supreme goddess of good fortune.
Renani Jewels in 2020 also held the Guinness World Record for the most diamonds in a ring.
The ring named “The Marigold” is the ring of prosperity with 12,638 diamonds.
Harshit Bansal, managing director of Renani Jewels, said all the diamonds used in the ring were among the best diamonds used in jewellery worldwide.
“The Marigold” ring weighs 165 grams and it took the jewellers two years to think and design the record-breaking ring. In doing so, they surpassed the previous record holder by 5,000 diamonds.
The previous record was set with 7,800 diamonds.
