Nanis Italian Jewels launched the latest edition of the «Ipanema» collection. Expanding on the collection that debuted in 2013 and continuing to explore different color stories over the years. It now includes turquoise amazonite, pink jade, rutilated quartz and also mother of pearl diamonds in 18-carat yellow gold.
Ipanema is a colourful ode to the light as well as the vibrancy of Brazil, Nanis said. Using gemstones to showcase the country's stunning views.
The beaches of Ipanema, as well as the sunsets of Rio de Janeiro. But also the golden dunes of the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park are expressed through three categories-«Maré», «Sol» and «Duna».
Maré's designs combine turquoise amazonite, mother of pearl and rutilated quartz. In trios that dance with transparencies similar to water on the Ipanema coast.
Sol echoes how the sunset in Rio de Janeiro glows on the skin. With triads of pink jade, mother of pearl and rutilated quartz.
The Duna expresses the poetry of the wind and sun that shape the sandy landscapes in Lençóis Maranhenses, Nanis said. Through doubles of mother of pearl and rutile quartz.
«With Ipanema, we wanted to express the sunny, material soul of Brazil. In a colourful story that tells emotions, textures and light interactions,» said Laura Bicego, co-founder and designer of Nanis.
«Natural gemstones, with their perfect imperfections - inclusions, routines, ribs - become traces of authenticity. Little signs of a character that make each creation unique, just like the person wearing it.».
The new edition of the Ipanema collection is a fresh take on a signature collection for the brand, introducing new designs and revisiting silhouettes from the original release.
In her nearly 80 new pieces, there are two souls that coexist in perfect harmony, Nanis said, referring to the collection's minimalist and bold offerings.
There are pieces like the «Maré» necklace that feature clean lines and elegant details, as opposed to pieces like the «Maré» bracelet that showcase sculptural volumes and tactile surfaces.
