For the occasion, «Vista Aeterna», an impressive visual creation by Dutch designer Sabine Marcelis, was donated to the city of Rome under the auspices of the Fondazione Bvlgari. The artwork will be on display in the iconic Piazza di Spagna from 19 May to 15 June.

It offers a contemporary interpretation of the urban landscape of Rome. It consists of twelve travertine-based pillars decorated with reflective coloured mirrors. These rotate continuously during the day, following the path of the sun from dawn to dusk. As they move, they capture and refract sunlight, projecting a spectrum of warm, sun-inspired hues into the environment. Providing an ever-changing view, it is a perpetual celebration of the luminosity of the eternal city and its architectural heritage.

Continuing its pioneering spirit and unwavering commitment to innovation in luxury, the house also unveiled the Bvlgari Digital Passport. This immutable digital record stores the unique attributes and credentials of each High Jewelry creation on the private Aura blockchain transaction chain. Which even secures product data indefinitely with the highest standards of transparency and security.

A series of key Aeterna creations were presented in showcases inspired by Italian architect Lina Bo Bardi. But also in front of stunning reinterpretations of architect Giovanni Battista Piranesi's designs, rendered in precious bespoke tapestries, realised using the high-density jacquard technique by the historic Venetian Rubelli textile mill.

The prints show reproductions of the ancient plan of the Terme di Diocleziano and the Forma Urbis Severiana, an ancient map of Rome engraved on marble slabs dating from the time of Septimius Severus (between 203 and 211 AD), which Piranesi collected in the volume Antichità Romane, published in 1756. A masterpiece celebrating the historical heritage of Rome as well as Italian art, craftsmanship and technology, it was made possible thanks to the collaboration between Bvlgari, the Istituto Centrale per la Grafica and Rubelli.

The table d'artiste showcased High Jewelry's magnificent creations in unique showcases made in Italy from alabaster, the stone of light, focusing on the unique light of Rome, a timeless source of inspiration for the creation of the jewellery collections of the house.
