More than 2,000 trade visitors attended the 37th International Exhibition of Jewellery, Watches, Precious Stones, Machinery and Equipment «KOSMIMA». The number increased compared to last year's event. The exhibition was held during the period 21-23 October at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre.
In fact, this year's KOSMIMA left the best impression on the exhibitors, as more commercial transactions took place thanks to the increased attendance. In this regard, the majority of exhibitors expressed their intention to participate in the next edition. While the positive climate created creates the best conditions for a further increase in exhibitors in 2024.
The trade visitors of the 37th KOSMIMA came from all over Greece (Thessaloniki, Athens, Halkidiki, Skidra, Serres, Rethymno, Ptolemaida, Preveza, Pella, Larissa, Orestiada, Xanthi, Naoussa, Volos, Korinthos, Kozani, Katerini, Ioannina, Veroia, Drama, Alexandroupoli, Giannitsa, Edessa, Kavala and Florina) and from abroad (Italy, Germany, Cyprus, Australia, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Canada, Serbia, Montenegro and Turkey).
The number of exhibitors at the 37th KOSMIMA was increased by 10%. While the exhibition space increased by 30% compared to the previous event. In particular, this year's exhibition hosted 50 direct exhibitors from Greece and abroad (Turkey, Bulgaria and Switzerland). While firms from Italy, Belgium, Ireland, United Arab Emirates, Belgium, Ireland and Estonia were also represented in an exhibition space of 1,121 sqm.
During KOSMIMA the awards and commendations were presented to the winners of the 34th Panhellenic Jewellery Design Competition. The competition was organized by the Panhellenic Federation of Craftsmen, Jewellers, Jewellers and Watchmakers (POVAKO) in cooperation with TIF-HELEXPO. Its theme was «Polymorphism - the multiple uses of a jewel». At the same time, the events «Synthetic Diamonds: Similarities and differences between synthetic and mineral diamonds at laboratory and commercial level» and «Secrets of Emeralds».
The next «rendezvous» of the jewellery industry is scheduled for 23-26 February 2024 at the Athens International Jewellery Show.
